They can't. Indiana has the worst OOS rules EVER!!!! Opponents can only be scheduled if they're located within a 300 mile radius of the IN school. Laughable.

They're only holding themselves back.   Just wait, one of these years Indiana is going to have a dream team, and all of a sudden the rules will change.

What if they play in some kick off classic in say Ohio or Kentucky can that classic bring in a team from further out than 300 miles?

10-1 Out-of-State Contest Limitations The address of out-of-state schools participating in a Contest against a member School as well as the site of such Contests must be within Six-hundred (600) miles round trip travel from the Indiana state line and shall be sponsored or co-sponsored by a member high School.

From that it sounds like they couldn't play teams more than 300 miles from the state line away even if the game was played in Indiana. Not clear whether they are referring to straight-line distance or road distance. 300 miles by road from the southern state line can get you into Alabama or Mississippi.

Tough schedule, especially if the 3 IN teams they play are WC, CG, and Carmel and/or Davis.

Doesn't Ohio have a 300 mile limit from the state line?  I remember something about this when Iggy played Berwick in '97 or so.

Ohio can't travel to non-bordering states, which is why Gilman played a "home" game vs. Saint Edward at WVU a couple years ago. They can host teams from anywhere though.

No, one all teams can travel anywhere as long as a contiguous bordering state otherwise one game a year traveling not bound by this ridiculous rule.

unlike Indiana any team outside Ohio as far as they are can show inOhio and get their ASS kicked in

LOL ?

Bring it on!

No.   Indiana teams are forbidden to play against any teams, home or away, which are more than 300 miles from our border.    Keep in mind that the Hoosier state measures progress with a sun dial.

Cathedral is not even in a district looks like other than "Freelance" and they don't play one Indiana Freelance team.

Crazy stuff.

wow, that is truly amazing...

thing is, Carterville is better than every team mentioned!

they beat Chestatee, La grange and Troup County...

hope this helps, it's all about perspective...
