It’s about winning the games you play.

abbatt
Whiteshoes, Some observations..... The 2 Illinois teams are way to high....it`s a dumpster year for IL....they should be in the 85-95 range......Mi.is also way down.......Muskegon at 44 is not realistic...around 80-90 is their spot...they always have a small roster..35-40 kids ..they wouldn`t hold up against most of the teams that you rank in this poll., DeMatha below Mentor ???.....Mentor had to fight for their lives to beat St.Ignatius at home 38-31 while DM could have put 60-70 on St.Ignatius if they wanted to Did you watch the game ? It was a serious mismatch. I highly doubt that Mentor could play SJB to a 35-7 game in CA. 63-7or 14 would be more accurate. And no Indiana teams...no quarrel there.....a down yr for the Hoosier state as well.

They’re third or fourth best in their league(MIAA). If you’re going to have anybody from that league on your list, should be Calvert Hall. I have McDonogh as a clear level below CHC and think they will come in 4th. Right now, would have Spalding 2nd because of QB play. MSJ is as talented as any of the teams, but really shaky at QB. Don’t really trust the kid. McD is 4th in talent in the league, but would not be surprised if they beat Spalding or MSJ. Don’t see them beating CHC. McDonogh has wins over good Franklin and Bullis teams, while Calvert Hall has played Pallotti, Ryken and Riverdale Baptist. Not exactly household names. Mt. St. Joseph's schedule is a little stronger with wins over Ryken, Holy Spirit and something called Kiski school Although a tougher schedule, still not comparable to McDongh's. Actually I have Severn Archbishop Spalding ahead of both CH and Mt. St. Joe's. Both lost to OGC by similar margins but again, Spalding's schedule is better. In addition, I am watching Upper Marlboro Wise who have yet to be scored on in three games. A lot of good teams in the area and hopefully next year the one day event I am hearing about will allow me to see a lot of them in live action. I agree that i would have DeMatha higher than Mentor. But the assessment of the Iggy/DeMatha game is not accurate. I watched the game, and while it was certainly a mismatch, Iggy had 6 turnovers, a few of which led to easy scores. And for at least the last score, which was a fumble recovery in the endzone, Iggy had already conceded the game, wholesale substituted and had 2nd-3rd string in just trying to run the clock out. It was a beating, but it wasn't a 60-70 pt name the score type game.
abbatt
Coletrain06, DM had their subs in as well......they also had a TD fumble recovery overturned in the first half that even the announcers said was a bad call. The game was over at halftime and DM was already looking forward to their games in the WCAC. I was surprised by the margin of victory......I was thinking a competitive 35-14 game for DM. BUFORDGAWOLVES
I've painted a target on this poll, and radioed Air Force for a bombing run.... It should be fun watching it burn. As the season progresses. Up, downs all over the poll. Thanks WhiteShoes. BGW

Yes, both teams had subs in...that was my point. The game was conceded late and Iggy' s 3rd string RB fumbled into the End zone while trying to kill the clock. At that point it was 35-0, and it felt like a 35-0 game to me. Also I wouldn't judge Mentor too much on their close score with Iggy. Mentor has always been all offense and no defense, and like a lot of Cen10 teams, Mentor usually has to outscore good teams.

Need their "superstar" to eek out a win vs. #438. If Folsom was anywhere but Nor Cal, they would not be ranked. If they were in the Trinity league, they’d be Tier 2 by themselves
