They only mean one thing...and that's the concept of bringing in political contributions. If you do well (at least the pundits think so) you have a shot at increasing your funding. If you don't do well...you can see your revenue stream start to evaporate. Unless your name is Mikey. It doesn't matter what the pundits say...or the political boosters...Mikey has his own money. Keep in mind that in today's world...debates don't do hardly anything to change people's minds. The votes tell the story. Warren looked like Attila in the debate...but she's a goner. Bernie, Mikey and Petey will decide the Democratic nominee. Personally...I don't expect it to be pretty. The DNC is hell bent on keeping Bernie from the crown. They've really been pushing Mikey to insinuate Hillary as his VP choice. I don't believe he'll do that. All they can do is threaten to withhold funding...(Smile). Mikey don't give a shit. I think he'll go with Midwest Amy if he wins the thing in Milwaukee. But Bernie won't go down without a fight. Like I said...it ain't gonna be pretty. So stop worrying about debates. They ain't even entertainment...unless you're into wrasslin. Watch Star Trek Discovery instead. And keep throwing out all those cute little memes...cause if that's all you got....Heh, Heh, Heh.... Rufus>> The thing you leftists need to worry about is that Bernie is far left. Much farther left than the typical American voter. The passion you people display is admirable, if not amusing. But Bernie ain't gonna win. Period. Certainly not in a strong economy. That leaves the rest. I agree that debates are about perception which drives dollars. Klobuchar, Bootiejudge and Warren aren't swimming in cash and are unlikely to. Biden is circling the schneid, having dropped 13 points in just 3-4 weeks. So you've got a socialist whose going to hit a ceiling very hard. One well below what wins a general election. Oh, and his party (which isn't his party) wants him dead. Bloomberg will continue to get savaged no matter how much money he pours into tv ads. And the more he spends the more the hard left (and, frankly, independents) will despise him. Meanwhile, Trump's RCP approval rating is as as high as it's ever been.

It's hard to win when the DNC is working as hard to beat you as all the other candidates combined. Mikey simply has the inside track...at the moment. And he has smart people helping him. I think Midwest Amy would be a nice compliment to his campaign. I have advised Bernie to go ahead and beg Michelle to be his running mate...and as soon as she says "maybe"...to go ahead and put it out there. Bernie is old. He could live to become the despot...but then again...he might not. If he didn't...Michelle would get the job done with Barrack as VP. I have a Plan..... If you take Klobuchar, Bootyjudge and Bidens percentages and add them together, now you have the winning percentage. Bernie can't win the nomination with the percentage he has now. He may gain a good amount of Warren's percentage when and if she folds out, but the voters for the aforementioned 3 will all coalesce around the moderate who will be the eventual nominee. Never works that way. People said the same about Trump. If no one besides Sanders cracks 15% in California (a distinct possibility), Bernie gets an extra 144 delegates beyond his proportional share. If the centrists are all in on Super Tuesday, Bernie may be impossible to stop.

Per RCP, those three added up get you to 34% - 35%. Add Fauxcahontas to Sanders and you're near 40%. There is a very high chance of a brokered convention. Whoever comes out will be damaged goods. Independents will not vote heavily for Sanders. Sanders substantial (and pretty hard-core) following is not large enough to win, but IS large enough to murder any other candidate in the general if they stay home because they're pissed. In short, no matter who wins, they will not be in a strong position to seriously challenge God Emperor Trump.

I'd be amazed if anyone beats Trump anyway. It's an outside shot for sure. Bloomberg may be the best bet honestly. Just hold the house and take the senate. If Bloomberg or another moderate accidentally wins the presidency it'll he a plus. While Bloomberg has done some dumb shit, he is more rational in outlook than any of the others. Trump spent $70M of his own money to win in '16, and his campaign spending total was $600M-$700M. Hillary outspent Trump nearly 2:1 and still lost. Do you think Bernie supporters and independents are going to vote in substantial numbers for a guy worth $66B who'd likely have spent $1B to $2B (more?) in an attempt to buy the WH? Especially after the savaging he's going to continue to receive from his own side?

Doesn't change the facts that I have one vote, idc what Bernie or Trump ppl are going to do, and that one vote is likely with Bloomberg come primary day. At least as of now. I have to vote my vote with my conscious for what I think is the right spot to put it. I don't waste a lot of time thinking about what someone else may do. Especially some far left socialist types.

Mjd33
Why did Bloomberg just sit there like a punching bag? Instead he stood there like a schmuck speechless.
