Looking back, it appears that Trumps one knock is he wasn’t extreme enough in shutting everything down the second he heard Joe-Vid 19 was created. But instead he implements a half measure in January that didn't actually stop people from China and then waits until April 20th, when there will be no practical effect on the virus, to implement a full legal immigrant ban going forward. So the Senate minority leader was completely against the travel ban from China at that time. So the speaker of the house wasn’t concerned at all with the virus and spread at that time. So as of March 1 the top ranking Democrats in all of Washington DC didn’t give a shit about this virus. All LEGAL IMMIGRATION should have a merit based system and the applicants should be healthy, educated, able bodied individuals ready to contribute. But that should still be at a slow rate while we deal with issues of hunger, homelessness, and veteran care. Now with the Joe Biden/China Virus, you gotta freeze it all. Good move. In the 2010s, we had the longest economic recovery in history and reached some of the lowest unemployment in recent history. All of this done without a ban on legal immigration. This move serves no purpose whatsoever regarding either the virus or the economy.
