The main goal should be a college degree. The kid is a solid ball player, but he’s nowhere near NFL level. Doesn’t mean he can’t be, but chances are very slim. People filling his head with delusions of grandeur are idiots. They should be filling his head with thoughts of running a company or getting a Masters or Doctorate. Not everybody who comes from lowends has to be embarrassingly close to illiterate or has to struggle with basic English. These kids who think they’re going to the league because a bunch of jock sniffers around them are dreaming of their own come up, and filling their heads with garbage, have a very hard time adjusting to the real world when they realize they’re not good enough to make it at that level.
