When the 2 or 3 pictures he posted showed nothing but a handful of dudes on a virtually empty soccer field, and “classrooms” that were just a couple dudes sitting at a picnic table next the to the field, he then changed his story completely and claimed he was there before the players arrived. LOL. In other words, he lied. Again. As always. It was reported around a thousand but all their expenses are supposed to be paid by sponsors and what not but they aren't so the parents that are involved in what's going on have paid them and helped feed the players. In comparison most the pop up preps that your see now. Jersey Gators, Feltrim Academy, Georgia Knights etc charge anywhere from 4-8k but signing up for school in the local community college is extra. Most of these are scams also and rarely get a kid a D1 or D2 scholarship. This is all and unintended consequence of the NCAA "Gap Year" the NCAA has put in and of course the hucksters lining up and are using it to make money off the non qualifiers or kids that didn't get the offers they wanted. The rule was put in for International athletes like for an Olympic year or International competition. Athletes like wrestlers, gymnast etc,. The rule is providing you qualify on time then you can take a year to compete outside of college before starting school without losing a year of NCAA eligibility thus allowing an athlete to compete in the Olympics or what have you. It was not intended for what the football guys are doing but it is the rule so there you go. Where Covid comes in is instead of having to qualify on time (within first 4 years of high school) they gave 4 extra months to do so. So in short if any of these 2021 kids are not qualified by now they are ineligible for NCAA and the 2020 kids are ineligible regardless their gap year is up. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
