Had a great visit this morning at BS in the Eaton section of Columbus, OH. Nice area. Got a tour from its Head Coach, RJ Johnson, who's originally from Queens, NY and played ball at John Glenn HS on Long Island. After walking on at Ohio State, his college football career was cut short due to injuries. We were also joined by Terry Dinkins, the team’s Strength & Conditioning Coach and Player Personnel Director. BS currently has 118 players enrolled in its program. They’ll be fielding Varsity and National teams in ‘21! The team is part of the Texas Christian Athletic League’s 6A-National Division. Visit t-cal.org to learn more about this NFHS-sanctioned league. On O, they’ll be running some spread, along with traditional I-formations. Their base D will be 4-3.

The facilities are comprised of two buildings in Eaton. The first houses classroom space, three indoor practice fields and a weight room. The second is a dorm/cafeteria for the non-local players. The school offers both online and in-person classes. The online component is implemented by Accel, which is an NCAA-accredited online curriculum platform.

PGL is a proud corporate partner of BS. Watch them vs Hoban on 8/19 on the PGL/Flo HSFB Channel. You’ll be glad you did!

Do they play other Texas schools outside of Duncanville. How did they end up being something called Texas Christian Athletic League ? Can you now share the list of players including 5th year SRs ?

Because the TCAL likes money and spotted an opportunity to sanction rogue schools from other states by making them "members" in exchange for a check. TCAL membership means that BS is good to go as far as the NFHS is concerned and they don't have to be approved by the Ohio state association or even an approved non-member. If you are not in good standing with the NFHS you can't play teams from many states including Florida. OHSAA would have never sanctioned BS due to the preponderance of 5th year seniors and lack of accreditation or actual education taking place.

Just watched film of all 28 D1 recruits. Very impressed. This squad will make waves in 21.

Impressive that they can recruit DI talent? Or impressed that their staff can coach um up into DI talent? EXHIBIT A, Cameron Erving wasn't even a football player in 2007, until Rush ProPst came to Colquitt! Coach saw him on the baketbol team as a 6'6", 280lb. center, who didn't even like football! Fast forward to 2009, and Cameron Erving was a star DT on our 2009 semi final team, who lost to the eventual state champion Camden Co. team, 19-10. Fast forward again, and Cam went on to help win the National Championship and Super Bowl, for FSU and KC! Now THAT'S impressive! NOT being able to recruit a bought team!

The TCAL is a progressive independent league which allows Texas and non Texas teams to find a home where they can operate the best way for their programs optimal success

Why would the small Atlanta privates play recruited up metro all star public teams with three times the enrollment and three times the roster size??

You won't find those privates playin the likes of Colquitt, Lowndes, Tift, and Camden Co., EITHER! And you could probably put teams like Lee, Warner Robins, Valdosta, Coffee, and Ware Co. in that group as well!

Warner Robins played Colquitt twice, and Valdosta plays them and Lowndes every year. Coffee is playing Camden. When you come down off whatever drug you are on, you can post again.
