People that are too stupid to get a ID or license then you shouldn’t be voting anyways

Who the fuck doesn’t have some form of government issued identification in 2021?

White liberals always say it’s people of color that are too poor and stupid to get ID. but what people of color are they talking about?

that sounds like a very specific comment. it sounds like they know who doesn’t have ID. and what kind of piece of shit are you to pretend to be concerned about the specific people that don’t have IDs and you won’t even help them out?

why are they not putting in the time and effort of creating a program that will help poor and stupid people obtain this elusive identification card?

sounds like they don’t give a shit about these people and are just crying that they can’t cheat at the voting booth

This is some @Ga96 @Wildcat Will shit if I ever seen it,   Oregon said it’s racist to know how to read write or do math. Lmao 🤣  https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/us/oregon-governor-signs-bill-suspending-math-reading-proficiency-requirements-for-hs-graduates.amp

Oregon dumbest state in America and that’s coming from a country  that has Louisiana and Alabama

Oregon is firmly in the top 20 in education (#16).

This is an interesting study but it addresses education wholly.  The governors bill removes math and English requirements specifically as a requirement for HS graduation.

There’s a category in the study you referenced for expected HS graduation rates through 2032 but it’s given very little weight in the overall score and doesn’t show how each state fared in that category.

A part of the rationale for the bill was that they considered factors for success beyond high school, and it helped level the field for students that don’t test well.

Hard to imagine in today’s world that not being proficient at math or to have poor reading and comprehension skills is the path to success, but I guess you don’t need those skills to riot.

Maybe dig up the data showing the trend of high school graduation in Oregon and maybe we find the real reason for watering down the requirements.

Maybe society no longer needs the same education once needed to make it. Could that be it? I think so.

Consider the military. The same amount of humans are not needed due to advances in technology.

Common sense given to advancements in science will alleviate a pletheora of questions.

If you’re willing to accept the March towards socialism, yes.  Everyone can be equally stupid, it works better that way.

Have two son in laws, in the military.  Both are going through extensive math heavy technical training, one in the Marines, one in the Air Force.  Both likely to go 20+ and retire.  Doesn’t sound like the military wants dummies controlling all that technology.

For the average everyday person advancements in science will make their lives easier, maybe safer, provide more options for maintaining health….

You’re still gonna have to be smart to get good paying jobs, at least in the private sector.  But with the expanding government, and higher pay for jobs without demanding requirements, maybe there will be opportunities for everyone.

This has nothing to do with socialism, moreso the advancement of mankind technologically.

The world operates on level maybe you are not accustomed to. What you don't know is real, weather you know it or not.

That same technology is the reason for the numbers being lower, is as expected. Obama was behind a streamlining of the military as he was the beneficiary of being preside nt during a great time of moving forward in the scientific field applied to military weaponry.

Your thought on advancement making life easier is on point, although some will argue in fear of change.

Job acquisition in the future will depend on simply being able to type. Much more work will become mobile as technology eliminates much of the service industry. Manufacturing, delivery and other sectors, such as some aspects of construction and customer service will decline having a major role in employment.

"Better get with it........ or it'll soon be gone"......the song goes.

Yup, my company has plenty of work at home “typer” types these days.  Accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer service, HR, sales, etc.  None of those jobs require degrees, technical proficiency, or much in the way of analysis.   The poor suckers like me and my team that are responsible for driving growth by executing new product/process implementation have to come to work every day.  But, who do you think the company has just rolled out a comprehensive retention program for. Work at home and earn $40 to $60k, nice.  My lowest compensated engineer just received a 40% overall compensation increase, which is nearly the salary of the accounts receivable people.  Our customers buy highly engineered quality components for their medical devices.  Can’t make that stuff at home.

Yup, no more grumpy unfriendly toll booth attendants.  No armies of nut harvesters when fully automatic self guided tree shakers do the job better. Fully automatic GPS guided harvesters that not only pick crops, but pull and test soil samples to determine proper fertilizer levels required, and generate optimal seeding patterns.  Fully automated warehouses.  Lights out automated molding.  Self checkout at supermarkets, home stores, department stores….on line shopping. It’s a great time to be alive.  More technology, less people, what could be better😊

I don't know about all being better. It will not be without it's challenges.

This after all ties back to the point of the thread.  Removing challenges to high school graduation is great for those that can’t accept or meet the challenge to move to the next step.
Meanwhile, the higher achievers won’t stop, they’ll keep their feet on the gas and forge ahead to become successful leaders.
Who do you think ends up working for the higher achievers?
Oregon, for as long as they keep that stupid bill in effect will create more people forever condemned to the working class than would normally happen.
The people who look at this is a good thing, should be the ones most terrified by it.

You think, an oxymoron in your case, that the fine southern state of Georgia went blue against ignorance in the last presidentual and senatorial elections because people of color weren't working hard and putting in the time to change, for the better, the lives of the state's disadvantaged ?  Those results were no accident or ever proven fraudulent. And although many conservative state legislatures have hindered convenience and accessibility somewhat to combat alleged fraud, in the long run it won't matter. You see Nolebull more in this country think like myself versus you and that gap is increasing. Appalachia is callling.....

You have dialed in on in this problem quite well.

Mathematics from a scientific viewpoint is the one true God. It rules the world without discourse or social adaption.

Virtually every significant society has tried to eliminate it relative to how their societal values have evolved and it is now starting to catch up with everyone around the world. Most governments IMO have been in the "2+2 = 7 camp" fostered by their corruption, greed and need to control.

Now relative to your post...

Fact is 2+2 = 4... and we are now starting to find out there are no answers to get back a true mathematical model that the world and how it operates should fit in... thus making the world a much better place to live for everyone. Mathematical acceleration in today's world is well beyond exponential in its force... fueling technology at such an incredible pace, that our, or any other country's original constitutional values cannot keep up... yet we keep ignoring that fact ( as shown by how we allow those who represent us, to manipulate their constituents ).  Meaningful jobs have been on the decline for years now due to technology and the result has been a significant loss of the middle class and an imbalance in the growth of the upper classes relative to their wealth... not to mention the accelerating march to globalism.

Fewer good jobs... growing population... ultimately bad result. We are now experiencing the beginnings of that result now.

that’s not true. Your side has to cheat to win. It’s not even close. Just because someone gets away with a crime doesn’t mean the crime didnt happen.

Georgia had the same fraud in their senate elections. David Perdue was trouncing Ossoff in the first round. He was up by over 80,000 votes. Same in the other. Doug Collins and Kelly Loeffler combined were dwarfing Warnock in votes. Then they had Stacy Abrams and her lackeys make sure cheat in ballots were protected In the Atlanta counties to magically make up the 80K-100K differences.

These are the reasons why Republicans are trying to tighten up the elections. So Democrats can’t cheat to win. That’s why they are outraged. Minorities can fill out paperwork and provide proof of identification. They aren’t stupid like you want us to believe. No one is suppressed. Those are left wing talking points
