Sandy Koufax and Hank Greenberg come to mind immediately.

Greenberg played one season with Pittsburgh I believe.  They moved in the Pirates left field fence in for him and called the new area Greenberg Gardens.

Ralph Kiner was a Pirate with a new different stadium and they once again moved in left field for Kiner to launch dingers.  His area was called Kiner’s Corner, the same named show where he interviewed players of the game after Mets home games at Shea Stadium as a Mets announcer.

How many times did Pitt move their LF fence in? And what did it end up being …240ft?🤔

Jan. 6 committee preparing criminal referral for Trump: Sources

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol is preparing to urge the Department of Justice to prosecute former President Donald Trump on criminal charges during its business meeting on Monday, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

The committee has for months been debating the move, which is largely symbolic.

The committee plans to include in their criminal referral the charges of obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy to defraud the United States, according to sources.

Another charge under discussion for referral is insurrection, the sources said.

The charges under consideration were first reported by Politico.

It's not clear how many charges related to Trump the committee will ultimately refer to the DOJ, or what other individuals will be included in their referral report.

The criminal referrals are expected to be accompanied by evidence justifying their decision.

The DOJ has been conducting its own parallel investigation into the events of Jan. 6, and is not obligated to act on such referrals.

Gee. Never seen this strategy before (ie Russia! Russia! Russia!)🙄🤣. They’ll be “preparing” for the next 18 months…which means that they can keep talking about how Trump’s arrest is imminent all the way up to the next election. And then it’ll become a big nothing burger…like always. 66 needs to get a cat or something.

😂

Actually I was mistaken, they raised the fence 4 feet higher during Kiner’s HR short period at Forbes Field starting from 1948 after Greenberg retired.  They just changed the name to Kiner’s corner unofficially and kept the  dimensions of Greenberg Gardens, which was moved in 30 feet (365 to 335) from the left field foul pole, but it extended the rest of the ballpark (gaps, dead center etc) I believe.

As soon as Kiner was done playing in Pittsburgh, the owner couldn’t move the LF fence back 30 feet soon enough as the team sucked and didn’t hit many dingers and for sure less with Kiner gone.

The Polo Grounds was very short down the lines and way back deep to dead center.

New York Post Tears Into 'Con Artist' Donald Trump... Again

Lee Moran

The previously pro-Donald Trump New York Post took another swipe at the former president on Thursday, urging readers not to buy his new collection of digital trading cards.

An editorial in the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid branded Trump a “con artist” for his self-promoting collection, which drew widespread mockery on social media after Trump pitched it as a “major announcement.”

It was simply “another money grab” by Trump, said the newspaper, which has decidedly soured on Trump since the Republican Party’s poor performance in the 2022 midterms. Last month, the Post covered Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign launch by referring to him as “Florida Man.”

“Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us 1,438 times, and it may finally be too much,” the editorial board said of the cards.

We’ve had patience for 6 years. We’re all, minus you, pretty worn out over TDS. At some point you’ve gotta accept that you’ve been con’d by your handlers. AGAIN…it’s easier to con somebody than to convince them they’ve been con’d. Don’t be afraid to seek help for this matter. Hope this helps.

Can’t wait to watch the coverage from the MSM🤔

Hmmmm? Im pretty sure we’ll see about ZERO coverage🙄. We’ve had 3 of the biggest political scandals (all perpetrated by DS/left) in US history in the past 8 years and the media wants nothing to do with any of them. The media are complicit players in this traitorous plan against the American people.
