The committee has for months been debating the move, which is largely symbolic. The committee plans to include in their criminal referral the charges of obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy to defraud the United States, according to sources. And what did it end up being …240ft?🤔 😂 Actually I was mistaken, they raised the fence 4 feet higher during Kiner’s HR short period at Forbes Field starting from 1948 after Greenberg retired. They just changed the name to Kiner’s corner unofficially and kept the dimensions of Greenberg Gardens, which was moved in 30 feet (365 to 335) from the left field foul pole, but it extended the rest of the ballpark (gaps, dead center etc) I believe. As soon as Kiner was done playing in Pittsburgh, the owner couldn’t move the LF fence back 30 feet soon enough as the team sucked and didn’t hit many dingers and for sure less with Kiner gone.
