RedZone
Seems like an interesting matchup. John Curtis is still looking for 1 more game to finish out their schedule.

RedZone
According to HSFA Rabun-Gap was the #7 ranked team in Georgia last year. I guess it's possible. Rabun-Gap is a confusing school to try to figure out. Will spend a little time trying to figure them out tonight.
TheMaximumHornetSting
RGN is located in GA but is not yet apart of the GHSA and probably wont be until 2025 or 2026 they are currently apart of North Carolina's Association. So tell me how the hell did they finish #7 in GA state rankings? 1
TheMaximumHornetSting
They play their first good GHSA team on August 17th. They go on the road to Savannah to play Benedictine.

Ga96
If they are like they've been the last few years then they are going to wear john curtis ass out.

No, they are a private boarding school in the mountains of Georgia. They actually built a small turf football field also which holds about 1000. It looks like a very nice place. Interesting setup they have to say the least. Probably pulling players from Georgia and North Carolina. Anyways, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School's tuition is approximately $59,200 for boarding students and $22,500 for day students.

Nolebull813
2 years ago Jacksonville University Christian put a running clock on them. They must have gotten much better last year.

Interesting article. The majority of their athletes are of the international flavor. The program was started in 2011. Well, at least they didn't attach a "Christian", "Prep" or "Academy" to their name https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/2958232/2021/11/16/visit-rabun-gap-nacoochee-the-remote-boarding-school-suddenly-brimming-with-power-5-prospects/

That's what their prepping for...

TheMaximumHornetSting
That being said Idk if RGN is ready for JC... We'll get to see what they got... Because RGN is absolutely loaded... And that opening game on the road in Savannah against Benedictine is gonna be a benchmark as well... Benedictine will be a Brickwall this upcoming season

RedZone
Rabun-Gap, GA has double-digit kids with D1 offers with 5 already committed. 👇 North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Syracuse,. Rabun-Gap's QB is a transfer from Wren, NC. Looks like Louisville may pull him. https://www.on3.com/db/gavin-owens-153058/

I guess they could be a Southern version of St Frances only they have a great location, nice football field and money. That said. Talent wise there are very few teams in Georgia with more talent than Rabun-Gap.
RedZone
Rabun-Gap will also play The First Academy out of Orlando, FL. Seems like a little bit of a mismatch there.

I don't know how big the football roster is, but I'm pretty sure that they all live there. My sister lives in Loganville, GA and I've been up there a few times to the mountains with her family. Beautiful part of the country, I believe Rabun-Gap is probably out in the middle of nowhere, but it ranks very high in most everything when it comes to boarding private schools from what I read. .
