Pollsters decided going into the season MD was the #1 team. What did they really base that on? Losing vs SJB in the playoffs the year before? Returning players? If you are going to base it on players across the board hand the trophy over to IMG they have more talent than anyone else. Why just give teams (including Texas Schools) mythical national championships? Something like this should only be giving if it can truly be earned on the field. You rely on other sources, internet sites, news clippings and state chat rooms to arrive at how you think the teams stand up against teams from across the country when in fact you do not have an effective barometer to measure them by. It is not like college football where the top teams play each other or at least have common opponents. Debate and discussion are great things, name calling and anger are not.
