Is California HS football dominating Texas?

There is no way California, Florida or any other state’s high school football outranks Texas high school football as a whole.

Just FYI: This isn’t just Texas pride.  There’s plenty of data that proves Texas high school football outranks other states in multiple catagories. Check out this article on Bleacher Report, Ranking Every State by Elite College Football Talent Produced.

1. Texas

Score: 91 (40 5-Star Recruits; 20 AP All-Americans; Six 5-star All-Americans; One two-time AP All-American; Two Heisman Winners)

Most Noteworthy Player: Von Miller (Texas A&M LB, 2007-10)

It should come as no surprise that the state which served as the setting for Friday Night Lights has been responsible for a ton of college football's stars. Heisman winners Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel both played high school and college football in Texas. Two-time Heisman runner-up Andrew Luck also played high school ball in Texas.

However, rather than choosing from that list of great college QBs, we're giving the "Most Noteworthy Player" title to a five-time Pro Bowl LB who has made a living out of terrorizing quarterbacks. Before becoming the No. 2 pick in the 2011 NFL draft, Von Miller recorded 33.0 sacks for Texas A&M. He did the vast majority of that damage in his final two seasons, averaging better than one sack per game from 2009-10.

With Myles Garrett, Jackson Jeffcoat, Malcom Brown, A'Shawn Robinson, Malik Jefferson and Ed Oliver also available as options, one could make an impenetrable defensive front seven just from guys who went to high school in Texas. And in addition to the aforementioned QBs, offensive weapons like D'Onta Foreman, LaMichael James, Mike Evans, Josh Doctson and Dede Westbrook would make the Lone Star State an unstoppable scoring machine, as well.

All told, Texas has produced 29 All-Americans in the past seven years. That's almost as many as the 31 that Florida and California have combined for during that time. And it's why head coach of the Longhorns remains one of the most sought-after positions in college football despite seven consecutive seasons with fewer than 10 wins.

And we think National polls are stupid 😂

Texas High School Football Dominates National Poll

Every real Texan knows the best high school football in the country is played in our great state.  We realize this is a emotional topic for some folks outside of the state of Texas, so we thought we would let the national poll from HSFA (High School Football America) do the talkin’ for us.

http://highschoolfootballamerica.com/texas-leads-high-school-football-america-preseason-100-with-14-teams/

14

Count them, 14 top 100 teams from the state of Texas lead the nation

There are also two teams on our “bubble” (No. 101 through No. 125) and nineteen others in our honorable mention, which means 35 teams from Texas are considered among the best 225 teams in the nation heading into the season.

WOW, 14 outta a population of 26,000,000! CONVERSELY, GEORGIA, nine outta a population of 10,000,000! And 1-10, there ain't ONE Texas team who could take our TOP TEN!

Maybe I missed it during the celebration BUT! WHO EXACTLY, is a COLLEGE FOOTBALL POWER in TEXAS?xD

You girls best playas go to Okiehomer! And Georgia ran for 340 yards on their D!xD

And you don't EVEN want to go there, about comparing big time playas in Texas, to GEORGIA'S! 18 of UGA's starting lineup last season, was HOMEGROWN! And Okiehomer's back up RB is from SPRAYBERRY High in Marietta, GEORGIA!

I'll give you a lil taste of what GEORGIA is a cookin! Nick Chubb, Deshaun Watson, Vonn Bell, Vic Beasley, Charles Grant, Wayne Gallman, Leonard Floyd, Roquan Smith, Lorenzo Carter, Thomas Davis, Cam Erving, Isaiah Crow El, Malcolm Mitchell, Alvin Kamara, David Andrews, and Geno Atkins! Plus, a cast of THOUSANDS MORE! And this don't even include the TOP TWO prep QB's in the NATION, in 2017!

And with 28,000,000 people, you girls SHOULD lead the fucking world in talent! But per capita, GEORGIA is KING of da HILL!

Turning point of that game right there. If Custer, who’s a great tackler, makes that tackle, DLS goes into half up 8 instead of 2. And the play right before this one coulda gave DLS a first and goal and ready to go up 21-6 going into half....until the DLS receiver dropped a perfectly thrown pass at the ET 5 yard line. Tough night for Sparty.

You are from Ga.  Watch this Numbnutz. This is how great the education is in Texas.  14 teams from Texas population 28.3 million.  That would leave 86 teams for the rest of America roughly 300 Million without Texas.  🤣  See if you can figure that out 1st Jethro.  Just to help you Ga. would be included with the rest of the U.S. 35 of top 225 from Texas that would leave 190 teams for the rest of the U.S  an avg of about 3.87 per State.

Ga. Education is fantastic.  On 2nd thought you are the only person here that graduated HS During Segregation.  Even with all the Privilege you still are pretty stupid.

Yes sir and if my Aunts had Testicles they would be my Uncles.  If Trinity had not given up 2 big plays or if ET hadn't driven 99 yards on DLS and wore them down?  If DLS didn't have those 2 big runs ET was up 2 TD's in the 4TH.

Here is an observation from USATODAY

In the second half, it was evident that De La Salle’s two-way starters were starting to feel the fatigue from the humidity and the style of play that Texas football teams deal with day in and day out.

Both teams had its fair share of magnifying plays, however, Trinity had the size advantage and the physical conditioning required in the element. Some of De La Salle’s star players played both ways and couldn’t keep up with Trinity’s physicality through the 48 minutes

Lets see if you can follow my finger and the bouncing ball! GEORGIA, 10,000,000 people!  NINE of the top 100 teams out of 12,000! Texas, 14 from a state with 28,000,000! DO YOU UN DER STAND MEEEE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW? PER CAPITA, GEORGIA has more top tier powers than TEXAS! And I no doubt have more education than your whole family, COMBINED!

And look how well it has served you.  Was spelling and punctuation included in all that education you gathered over my whole combined family?  Clearly Geography was not included.  Texas and California thread and just how does Ga. get introduced into it?.  I know they include themselves on every thread.  I now turn you over to California.

Same old song You guys cheat and Recruit and Texas has 26million people actually 28 mil and we only have about 5 teams that are any good and only those 5 win State regardless of how stupid both are.  Meanwhile Ga. would open a can of whoop ass on both of us with everyone.  That about raps up RAB's dogma.  He even gave us a list of dudes from Ga.

Now that is a nice little Map you have there and only a few States that are Red.  Red usually means bad but in this case it is excellent.  But since you want to elevate the rhetoric there is a group above this and they call it the HOF or the CREAM OF THE CROP.  Well lets see what the Cream of the Crop says.

inductee Rank: 1  Texas

Hall of Famers: 31 (Sammy Baugh, Bulldog Turner, Bobby Layne, Y.A. Tittle, Ollie Matson, Raymond Berry, Night Train Lane, Forrest Gregg, Lance Alworth, Yale Lary, Bob Lilly, Charley Taylor, Doak Walker, Ken Houston, Gene Upshaw, Don Maynard, Joe Greene, Tom Landry, Earl Campbell, Jimmy Johnson, Mel Renfro, Mike Haynes, Mike Singletary, Eric Dickerson, Thurman Thomas, Emmitt Thomas, Darrell Green, John Randle, Michael Strahan, Tim Brown, LadainianTomlinson)

Texas takes the crown for producing the most Hall of Fame athletes

Inductee Rank: 4 California

Hall of Famers: 20 (Mel Hein, Leo Nomellini, Hugh McElhenny, Tom Fears, Frank Gifford, Ron Mix, O.J. Simpson, Bob St. Clair, Dan Fouts, Anthony Munoz, James Lofton, Marcus Allen, Warren Moon, Troy Aikman, Gary Zimmerman, Les Richter, Larry Allen, Junior Seau, Dick Stanfel, Terrell Davis)

At over 39 million residents, California is by far the most populous state, and pound for pound it just doesn’t stack up. Its 20 Hall of Famers make for an impressive list of athletes and rank California 4th for Hall of Fame inductees, but it almost seems a state of this size would hit 20 by accident. 🤣

Inductee Rank: 6 Florida

Hall of Famers: 11 (Pete Pihos, Deacon Jones, Jack Youngblood, Michael Irvin, Derrick Thomas, Bob Hayes, Emmitt Smith, Rickey Jackson, Deion Sanders, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks)

Florida doesn’t rank very high on our list, but they were not always such a populous state, and until the 80’s they were not known for football. With all the recent inductions, the state of Florida is coming on strong and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

Haha! I get it, DD. Not taking away anything from ET. They were physical as expected,, were a load to deal with for 48 min, and did what they had to do to win.  They were the better team that night: But strictly from this DLS fan’s perspective, that was a night of “what could have been”. To me, it was a few mistakes away from being 28-6 DLS. But mistakes are part of the game. Props to ET. And as I said, tough night for DLS.
