Texas Runs from competition?  Really?  Do we run?

Played the following?

Miami Northwestern - Ranked #1 in the nation

DLS - Ranked #1 in the nation

Plant FL - Ranked #1 in the nation

BTW FL - Ranked #1 in the nation

Bishop Gorman - Ranked #1 in the nation.

Hoover AL - won state

Miami Central - won state

Bellevue WA - won state both times we played them

John Curtis LA - Won State

West Monroe LA - Won State

ECA LA - won state multiple times after losing vs Texas

Jenks HS Oklahoma - State champs

Tulsa Union Oklahoma- State champs

Arkansas state champs -multiple times

Bingham UT - state champs

That recruited team Eastern something out of Maryland - came here to show us thing or two - playing 3 times - They went home didn't have QB - multiple injuries to other players - season destroyed playing Trinity, Desoto, Coppell back to back to back lol

The freaking list goes on and on.  We have built up who's who list of state champions that we have beat.

Yet your little silly ass loud mouth bitch - wants to act like California is doing something because the same damn 3 to 4 teams try to play few out of state games...Fact is - They mostly get their asses beat.

What the F was wrong with MD all them other years -  Why the hell had they not being playing out of state prior to last year?  Was they scarred that they hadn't recruited good enough????

Is California HS football dominating Texas?

There is no way California, Florida or any other state’s high school football outranks Texas high school football as a whole.

Just FYI: This isn’t just Texas pride.  There’s plenty of data that proves Texas high school football outranks other states in multiple catagories. Check out this article on Bleacher Report, Ranking Every State by Elite College Football Talent Produced.

1. Texas

Score: 91 (40 5-Star Recruits; 20 AP All-Americans; Six 5-star All-Americans; One two-time AP All-American; Two Heisman Winners)

Most Noteworthy Player: Von Miller (Texas A&M LB, 2007-10)

It should come as no surprise that the state which served as the setting for Friday Night Lights has been responsible for a ton of college football's stars. Heisman winners Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel both played high school and college football in Texas. Two-time Heisman runner-up Andrew Luck also played high school ball in Texas.

However, rather than choosing from that list of great college QBs, we're giving the "Most Noteworthy Player" title to a five-time Pro Bowl LB who has made a living out of terrorizing quarterbacks. Before becoming the No. 2 pick in the 2011 NFL draft, Von Miller recorded 33.0 sacks for Texas A&M. He did the vast majority of that damage in his final two seasons, averaging better than one sack per game from 2009-10.

With Myles Garrett, Jackson Jeffcoat, Malcom Brown, A'Shawn Robinson, Malik Jefferson and Ed Oliver also available as options, one could make an impenetrable defensive front seven just from guys who went to high school in Texas. And in addition to the aforementioned QBs, offensive weapons like D'Onta Foreman, LaMichael James, Mike Evans, Josh Doctson and Dede Westbrook would make the Lone Star State an unstoppable scoring machine, as well.

All told, Texas has produced 29 All-Americans in the past seven years. That's almost as many as the 31 that Florida and California have combined for during that time. And it's why head coach of the Longhorns remains one of the most sought-after positions in college football despite seven consecutive seasons with fewer than 10 wins.

  1.

California, and some other places, have more elite teams these days, because in Texas, or Georgia for the record, kids from DeSoto or say  Tucker don't find their way to Collins or Gwinnett county schools. Were Jesuit or Marist  to approach  the game in the manner that the AAU teams in Cali, NJ, and a few other places do, the question above would be Non Sequitur.

Better shoot for 2020 & 2021.  Allen's pre-district games are filled for next year.  Next re-alignment is for 2020.

In Texas and a dwindling few other places, loyalty to community and hometown remains strong and hasn't has gone the way of the dinosaur. In Georgia's football city states, it's an "Our way of life verses theirs" mentality.

As for playing elite teams, Woner how CHill having 15 of the Metroplex Top-30 players on their squad when Gorman came back to town, would have fared? Gormans first trip  to Texaswas rather forgettable if memory still serves.

My take - I don't believe for one sec that other places have more elite teams.

From time to time California might have the best team or Florida or Georgia, or Bishop Gorman

Jesus almighty -  DLS lost in Texas and it was the only loss they had in two season competing for the championship against the best California could handle.

MD last year did not play against great - DLS or Bosco teams last year or great Bishop Gorman team of the years prior.  Fact is Gorman whipped the best in California prior to last year.  The same damn BG that got beat on the road at MD turned around and got beat at home by Miami Central who didn't even win the Florida title.  They beat Bosco who got beat by STA to start the season. Again - this was down STA team who got the victory.

I would easily put the elite of Texas, Florida, or Georgia top 10 against the best of California any damn time.

You have to look at the numbers. The talent these parochial school stack. 20 years ago, public schools were top dawg everywhere except Ohio. Kids in Texas still play, for the most part for the school in the district they live in. Same here in Georgia. The w/l ratio over the past 15 years or so is tilted in favor of the mercenaries. Texas is still under DOJ de-segration  rules, as is Georgia.

HAhahaaha.  You been hanging out with ECHS too much.  To say Cali does not have elite teams is just plain drunk uncle at family bbq talk.  Cali top 5 vs tx top 5 would be something like 4-1 in favor of Cali.  But, carry on.

Keeping the good vibe going. You guys are run ammuck with the tourista's around this time of year.

Years ago I saw a shirt for sale in  NOLA, down in the  Veux Carrie, " We Cheat Tourists and Drunks." Right next to the dude selling n2o .

DLS ready to put Folsom behind bars? Take Ngata away from the flow of the game and the doubt begins to set in.

Haha.  It will be hard to find a similar shirt around these here parts, but it doesn't mean it does not happen. Lol.  DLS has a pretty darn good and big team this year.  Can not see how Folsom will be able to handle the big uglies.
