Question? how is St. Frances able to occupy a top 10 spot?  The talent of the team is not in question but in the 7th week of the season they are 2-0.  Look at their strength of schedule of the game they would have played it is not an elite schedule by any stretch of the imagination. it may just be me.....

States like CA,TX,FL,GA and, most years, OH will make up 60-75% of any top 100 list. A lot of these meddling middle-tier state #1 teams wouldn’t even crack the top 10 in those states. It is what it is.

Well, my answer to you is a question. Would a team like, say, #43 Muskegon or #30 SJP beat St. Frances if they played a game? I don’t think they would. If you actually think they would then, I guess, they wouldn’t be in your top 50.

Schedule strength certainly plays a part in ranking teams compared to others, but in my poll I envision two teams playing eachother on a neutral field and deciding who would win. That’s what it really boils down to.

Ohio has been on the decline for 4 or 5 years now...

Example.

Scott County, KY beat Moeller 10-7.....Moeller's only loss.

I was told Scott County, KY would beat any team in Louisiana by 14 points (2 TDs). Right!

Scott County was blown up last week 51-27 by (3-3) Henry Clay (Lexington, KY)......Scott County was outscored 25-0 in the 2nd half of that game.

High School football is 85% bullshit/homersim/predetermined biases............. 15% actual football....

I wasn't being judgemenatal. Just proffering the in-state 7A comp (in a nice way because of the "bush league" fans on here) because your order is a little off compared to the comp.

I like your poll. You obviously have a pretty good handle on the best teams this year as evidenced between the pick 'ems both the ones here and PrepForce.

Yeah, at least this guy has sense enough to know the school is closer to Moultrie than Norman Park.

Hell, them calling it Norman Park so much almost has me believing that's where the school is and I live here. xD

Pretty good way to look at things.  Certainly takes the stigma from a team losing a game because they scheduled up.  I like how you have Jserra ahead of the devil, and also ranked Amat.

YOU DO ?????

Well I don't......and neither does Rab.....

See, this is where we start to part ways on logic.

SFA hasn't played the games, so, in spite of their obvious talent, they haven't had the same amount of "practice" against players wearing a different color.

I think that hurts them tremendously against every team in the top 25 for sure. Probably against most of the top 50.

I think you are stuck on their talent and lost on their obvious shortcoming of not having played to get better.

I hear ya and would have agreed with you, IF BC had not beat Grayson.  On paper nobody gave BC a chance in hell of keeping it close, much less winning it in the fashion they did.  They dominated their line.  I was one of the ones who thought there was no way in hell BC was going to have a chance.

We were all stuck on stupid.

We saw the pre-season drama of not wanting to practice like the coach expected and whatever and still all went with talent and size over work ethic and technique.

http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/high-school/bs-va-sp-st-frances-st-joe-prep-football-0901-story.html

SJP visited Maryland to play SFA on August 31st and mother nature ended the game with 6:07 remaining in the 3rd quarter, with SFA leading SJP 13-7.   SJP won two close games and there's no way to know how the shortened game vs SFA would have finished.

It will be interesting to see which algorithms hang on to last year's rating with SFA.   CalPreps #4, Massey #13, HSFBA out of top 25 currently.    At some point with this schedule and frankly no wow factor vs. a solid SJP, imo they don't belong in a top 10 or 25 and with that in mind, why even bother...  SFA's schedule is making John Curtis 2012 look like a Trinity League run and it's getting tiresome.   Fix what you broke and get back on good terms with the other powers around the area and work on your 2019 schedule.

The new school buildings are in a different zipcode for mailing address, so, the computers and other listings are calling it Norman Park.

Norman College had been the Baptist Convention Center and Assembly for several years, but, they sold it to a Korean church of some type. Can't remember the name or whatever, but, they already have it placed for sale again now.

It would probably make a great private school for a Christian or Catholic group, but, it's also probably a huge risk with little to make anyone think it could thrive.

Yes. Anything like that.

A hotel, apartment complex etc. All the old dorms would make a good hotel or apartments.

The classrooms could probably be converted as well.

The huge lobby could be a social hall or meeting/convention center type use.
