amitchell47
Question? how is St. Frances able to occupy a top 10 spot? The talent of the team is not in question but in the 7th week of the season they are 2-0. Look at their strength of schedule of the game they would have played it is not an elite schedule by any stretch of the imagination. it may just be me.....

Just proffering the in-state 7A comp (in a nice way because of the "bush league" fans on here) because your order is a little off compared to the comp. I like your poll. You obviously have a pretty good handle on the best teams this year as evidenced between the pick 'ems both the ones here and PrepForce. I like how you have Jserra ahead of the devil, and also ranked Amat.

That’s what it really boils down to. See, this is where we start to part ways on logic. SFA hasn't played the games, so, in spite of their obvious talent, they haven't had the same amount of "practice" against players wearing a different color. I think that hurts them tremendously against every team in the top 25 for sure. Probably against most of the top 50. I think you are stuck on their talent and lost on their obvious shortcoming of not having played to get better.

On paper nobody gave BC a chance in hell of keeping it close, much less winning it in the fashion they did. They dominated their line. I was one of the ones who thought there was no way in hell BC was going to have a chance.

We saw the pre-season drama of not wanting to practice like the coach expected and whatever and still all went with talent and size over work ethic and technique.

That’s what it really boils down to. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/high-school/bs-va-sp-st-frances-st-joe-prep-football-0901-story.html SJP visited Maryland to play SFA on August 31st and mother nature ended the game with 6:07 remaining in the 3rd quarter, with SFA leading SJP 13-7. SJP won two close games and there's no way to know how the shortened game vs SFA would have finished. It will be interesting to see which algorithms hang on to last year's rating with SFA. CalPreps #4, Massey #13, HSFBA out of top 25 currently. At some point with this schedule and frankly no wow factor vs. a solid SJP, imo they don't belong in a top 10 or 25 and with that in mind, why even bother... SFA's schedule is making John Curtis 2012 look like a Trinity League run and it's getting tiresome. Fix what you broke and get back on good terms with the other powers around the area and work on your 2019 schedule. 3

Can't remember the name or whatever, but, they already have it placed for sale again now. It would probably make a great private school for a Christian or Catholic group, but, it's also probably a huge risk with little to make anyone think it could thrive. The classrooms could probably be converted as well. The huge lobby could be a social hall or meeting/convention center type use.
