AP,

I've seen both teams up close and personal. Folsom is going to have a time stopping DLS. They don't have the beef nor the athletes along the lines on both sides like last year. Jesuit moved the ball on the ground pretty well at times with a back up QB that couldn't throw AT ALL.  Jesuit also had several stops in the first half. I think DLS will get plenty of stops.

DLS OL is better this year, and they're starting to really come together. Hale had an understandably tough game against STA, but has thrown for over 450 yards and 4 TDs and 0 ints in the last 2 (in basically two .respective halves) He's also ran for 2. Garrett and Coby have been unstoppable...even against STA. Ok...I'll stop short of saying unstoppable against STA, but they both had solid games.

Don't sell this defense short. They played well against STA even with the huge discrepancy in size and athleticism. They won't be outgunned against Folsom in that dept. That said, they know they have to limit Ngata. He's the key. The coaches will have a plan. They always do for Folsom. The kids just need to execute.

Dela should have no problem scoring against this Folsom defense. Only thing that can stop them are TO's and the expected B.S. calls by the homer refs they have up in the san Juaquin. Everytime Dela has gone up there they have been hosed by the refs. But it still should not matter. The thing to watch for is potentially Folsom's passing game could stress the Spartan's Lb's, who really haven't been tested much with the pass. STA really had no passing game for the most part, but they did beat the spartan LB's on that one play in the endzone. CC of Modesto  also was able to get behind the spartan secondary a couple of times, and the tackling by the db's has looked a little shoddy. So it is not out of the question that Folsom could possible put up some points, but overall, I just can't see Folsom winning. I still would not take this game lightly for the spartans. They can't afford to have a sloppy performance, and as I said, I hope the refs aren't so egregious against the spartans like I have witnessed in the pass up there. We saw a hose job with Cathedral against Cen10, and that was ugly.

Can you elaborate more on why you think Folsom’s Offense and Defense are Both Better then Last year?...,

Would also be interested to know why you think they were “The Weakest” of Folsom’s SBG winners?...

We would all sincerely appreciate someone else from Folsom giving is some insight to the team other then @frankyjames....

And we allI know the most respected Folsom fan on this board @Extremely Humble Would appreciate it as well!!!...🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though, @Extremely Humble Really represents your team on here with class and the dude deserves some input from another Folsom fan not named @frankyjames or “Block”....

This year’s defense is stronger at linebacker and in the defensive backfield. De Shawn Lynch is a beast on the line. Last year, they didn’t even have Pierre Chandon available for DLS, and he may have been their best DL.

The offense will obviously be judged by the play of the line, which I’m unsure about.  The QBs (Reithmeiet and Patience) are strong- Reithmeier will get the call and he is an excellent QB.  I wish they would have found another spot for Kaiden Bennett - I’ve been following Reithmier since he was in 8th grade.  He is the better quarterback.  The skill players match up with last year’s.  Even though Folsom lost Koe Ngata, his brother’s still around.  Elijah Badger is one of the best in the state. He had offers from everybody.

It should be fun to watch whoever wins.

I like your post but I am confused about the statement where DLS should be worried about “B.S Calls by the Homer Ref’s”...

When has DLS ever complained about being hosed by the SJS Ref’s?....

I just bought tickets online for myself and my wife today. So I will be there. I think we might be hitting up a local sushi spot we like prior to the game. You're welcome to join us there or perhaps we could meet at a local bar after dinner. If anybody else is planning on attending the game and would like to meet up before the game, please speak up (after the game might work too). I think we'll be heading out toward Folsom sometime 'around' 5ish. Perhaps even a bit sooner. Game starts at 7:30 so there should be adequate time.

That sounds good to me if you guy are up for it! I loves me some sushi. Why don't we have some sushi at Mykuni here in Folsom? Best sushi in my opinion. Gets crowded really fast though...especially on a Fri. We should probably be there by 5 ish in the event of a wait. Thoughts?

I agree that 2018 had better overall skill talent (2010 was close). But the reason 2014 tops my list is not only did they have the best QB, they were far superior in the trenches. Jonah WIlliams and Cody Creason played both ways and led a very physical group on both sides of the ball. 2014 boasted the most dominant line play they've ever had. And it also was their best defensive unit on the whole.

I'da love to have seen Folsom '14 play DLS that year.

I think Folsom wins it this year. They aren't as reliant on Joe Ngata alone. They are spreading the ball around this year. RB Ngata will get lots of touches, but I believe DLS will stack the box and and try to limit him completely. DLS will also try and limit Badger from getting the ball, thus "making everyone else have to beat them."

DLS will try to bury the run more than anything and force Folsom to not only throw, but make bad throws. I think this will be even more evident if Folsom gets down. Folsom rarely ever plays from behind so it isn't something they are accustomed to.

Line play will determine the game. Folsom has better skill position players. Folsom has better lineman. Folsom has a better QB(s). The key is execution. DLS executes more with less and the speed they play with is not something Folsom see's. But, from what I have seen this year, Folsom should be able to adjust.

If DLS gets a big lead early, they win.

If the game is close at half, I believe Folsom wins it.

My prediction-: Folsom 28-24

Dela , the  coaches, never complain about calls. The fans do. The game against Folsom in 2012 up in Sac, the calls were a joke. 12 penalties against Dela, 2 against Folso. The game against Ganite Bay up there, May have been the the worst homer calls I have seen against Dela. The 2010 game against St. Mary's, Dela had 18 penalties against them, St. Mary's I think had 1 penalty against them . I think 3 td's were all called back in the  process also against Dela.  The final score didn't matter in those games as Dela destroyed them anyways. But I think this Folsom team is better than those other San Juaquin opponents, and if the game is tight for some reason, and the same BS calls are going against Dela, It could help influence the outcome. I guess the game between Cen10 and CC of San diego alerted me to how Homer refs can influence the outcome of a game. A missed call here or there is going to happen, but when you see blatant calls by refs to try and even the playing field, that is hard to stomach

You have to be kidding me dude.

Excuses about refs already? The game hasn't even been played. What a joke. Folsom had a likely TD taken away last year due to an erroneous fumble call. Changed the entire game. We were told "no excuses."

De La Salle had like 7 false starts and 5 or 6 12 men on the field penalties on national TV. Those penalties are not debatable. They have been sloppy this year and the refs will be watching. They already get the benefit of the doubt on multiple rolling starts every game, simply because it can't be called every time. Your post is a joke.

Pick em game in Vegas.

F that, on a $100 bet, I’m getting 20pts along with several riders.  If Folsom loses by less than 20, I get $10 for each point down to 1 or potentially $190 + $100.  If Folsom wins, the bigger the MOV for Folsom, the more I win up to 21 points and it’s $10 a point in that direction capping out at $500 with a special “shutout” provision.  However, if DLS wins by more than 20, I pay $10 a point up to 30 so the most it could cost me is $190.   If DLS wins by more than 30 or posts a shutout, then the Rockstar vs Boy Band provision kicks in and it costs me nothing.

This sounds familiar......

Look, I know your not Block, so I don't mind responding to you. People may have over looked in the past when Dela has played up in Sac, or with San Juaquin refs, because the games have been blowouts none the less. Refs have been shit. And I'm not talking about a missed call or two. I'm talking blatant. But when Dela whips the other team, it's not worth mentioning.  I don't think Folsom has much chance in this game, to be honest. If Dela plays their game I look for a 35-14 or 35- 21, something like that. I bring up Refs and to's as the wild card that could  hinder the spartans from comfortably winning . No excuses. Just pointing out the " what ifs " . Folsom is a good team, they are at home, and they will get calls because they are underdogs. It will be a good game, but Dela wins
