Blueliner
DLS 35 Folsom 14 Why? Folsom's offense isn't as prolific as last season. Anyone saying otherwise is kidding themselves. Two wins against teams that any 22 of us on this site could beat doesn't impress anyone. While DLS is playing STA, Folsom is padding stats against Antelope. After watching Folsom against Jesuit, it is clear that Folsom lost a lot of athletes and beef in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Even the young, freaky, kid on D is a year away from really making an impact...at least against a team like DLS. Their young QB isn't going to have all day to throw like against Antelope. DLS will pressure and try cover the short routes and try limit Nagata. Folsom will move the ball between the 30s a little, but they'll bog down trying to score. After going toe to toe with STA with their advantage at every position...hell even at QB (for one game) as it turned out...DLS has gotta feel that they can handle anything Folsom throws at them. DLS has an advantage in coaching (preparation), toughness, overall athletes, and knowing that they own Folsom (the coaches will have them focused on THIS game). The DLS offense is really starting to get in sync (admitted against lesser opponents than STA). They looked strong against CC, and even stronger against SF. And the defense is coming around as well. Clearly, losing To oto o, Fahuia, and Wilson at LB is a setback in terms of toughness. But the backers they have now are fast and can cover. Against STA it was a problem. I don't think it'll be an issue against Folsom. And the bottom line is this. DLS WANTS the Open. Folsom doesn't. In fact, I predict that Folsom doesn't even win the 15AAA Bowl either. 1

Everyone on that team and staff wants to beat DLS. It's all they've thought about since last season when they felt they were the better team.

This coming from the same dude hyping Hale up as a "thrower." Dude was one of the worst throwing HS QBs since Al Bundy when he scored 4 TDs in one game for Polk High.

Do some research. Folsom wants the Open bad. Everyone on that team and staff wants to beat DLS. It's all they've thought about since last season when they felt they were the better team. Folsom has the best athlete in Nagata. No question. Badger obviously is a talent, but right here right now in HS, Garrett, Coby, and Daley are all right there with him. Each of these guys can take it to the house on any given play...that has been proven in the first weeks of the season. Folsom has some talent. But after these guys, I'll take DLS pound for pound down the line because what is CRITICALLY important is that DLS's coaches, stars, role guys, and new guys alike have all played in at least one (many multiple) character games. Folsom's stars play Antelope, and get bailed out in their bowl game. They can feel all they want, but they weren't the better team last year. Typical Folsom btw. But IMO if they played mid-season DLS wins. If they played at the end DLS wins. A team like Folsom will lose to DLS because Folsom is always afraid of losing...OR they just like easy wins. You can not argue that their scheduling doesn't prove that. Hell. Maybe I am wrong. But I doubt it.
