I see he is here as well I figured he couldn't pass up a chance to post in another "the world is ending because of Trump" thread.

Please stop calling me a Liberal.  I am not.  I've said a number of times that if I could have handpicked anyone for the last election it would have been Kasich.  I also like McCain and Graham and of all the Democrats I would have picked Biden.

I like Kasich a lot.  Yes, I did vote for Hillary.  Lesser evil.  I also believe in exercising my right to vote-even if it is for the lesser evil.  And, yes, I did go to one of Clinton's Inaugural parties, at the old D. C. convention center.  If Hillary would have won I would have gone to that, too.

But I also would have gone to Kasich, McCain, Graham or Biden's inaugural parties if one of them had run.

Ironically (this is almost unbelievable) but my wife and I went to the MGM National Harbor casino/hotel the night of the inauguration and there was an "unofficial" Trump military inaugural party going on there.  $250 each for a ticket and they were still available  We didn't go but it was an incredible coincidence.

The mayor of Pittsburgh should STFU and fix his damned city.

Back when the Republicans ran it, it had the highest per capita income levels in the nation, if not world.

It now - after over half a century of liberal rule - looks like a 3rd world hell hole.

Just sayin'.

Concha, that's just plain horse$hit. Ever seen photos of Pittsburgh in the '40s,'50, an early '60s ?  Downtown street lights burned 24hrs a day. It was a Peking hellhole long before present day pollution choking Beijing. Pittsburgh has had a rebirth. Been there many times over the years. The Clean Air Act changed that dirty industrial city. Sure the steel jobs are gone, but the EPA didn't kill them. SEE: Cheap Foreign Steel. With the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon leading the way, Pittsburgh has transformed itself. Like all large US cities it has problems. But no one wants the return of midnight darkness at the noon hour.

Get ready for the global warming stories on loon news networks for next 3 days until the next bombshell drops.

It's already dropped:  the Russian bank and Kushner have different reasons for one of their meetings.  Same bank who financed trump's beauty pageant in Moscow and Kushner now wants to borrow money from. But the Russian bank cannot lend to him while sanctions are in place.

The Russian bank is partly owned by Putin's government.

There's more but it will all be in the press...

Outstanding post that is appreciated.

I'll eat some crow here. I was thinking of Detroit.

The rest of what I've said on the Paris Accord topic I stand by.

Thank you, thc6795, sincerely appreciated.

By the way this is breaking news right now:  http://wtop.com/virginia/2017/06/trump-asks-supreme-court-to-reinstate-travel-ban/  Trump has gone to the Supreme Court to reinstate the travel ban.

Again, thc6795, thank you, sir!

Thanks BigDrop. The Trumper's are still in the Honeymoon phase. Reality will eventually set in :)

I'm not a Trumster I just can't hope him to fail. If he fails we fail. One thing President Trump has done for me is push me as far away from the Democratic Party as I can be. It is beyond pathetic how they have acted. From needing safe places to the media and now Killiar. I will never vote democratic again as long as it is in this current state. They have been beyond embarrassing

There actually is another viewpoint with reason and fact to back it up.

Hey, to each his own. I'm a lifetime liberal dem. We get the government "we deserve." If poor people all over the country voted for Trump, so be it. They had a reason, justified or not. But make no mistake about it, coal ain't coming back, neither is steel to it's glory days level. When Trump is through the have not's still won't have. The left behind will still be left behind. I'm old and retired now. Got checks coming in till I die. Trump and his wingnut enablers won't directly effect me. But my bleeding heart ( some would call it naivety ) wishes a better life for all the world's inhabitants. No one ever changes their minds on these political threads. We only find joy when someone else reinforces our own point of view. At best these topics let us see the other side of the issue. The other point of view. This board has a good mix of smart guys from the left and right. The guys on the left, being a little smarter........Let the flames continue........:)
