The Bergen Catholic Hockey Team Are the 2020 Bergen County Champs ending Don Bosco's 8 year run 3-2.
Tough day for the boys in Ramsey. They lost to their arch rivals in:
Hockey
Basketball
Swimming
Bowling

The hockey teams will probably meet at least 1 time again in the States and maybe for the Gordon Conference Championship

Bergen had to rally from 10 down to beat Joes.  Bergen seems very weak in the heavyweights this year, and though they’re still winning so far they seem down overall compared to years past.  I would not be surprised if Delbarton beats them in the state tournament.

"rally from 10 down" although true, it's not really how a wrestling match works.  If no results changed but they started at 106, you would have said Bergen cruised to a win.

Bergen just got their two transfer big guys back in the lineup at 220/285.  Both sophomores and both are pretty promising - I know Boyce is a football player.  And "down" for Bergen wrestling means they're #7 in the country.  Not too bad.

Joes hasn't beaten Bergen in wrestling since 1997 - fairly incredible streak, probably close to 30 in a row.

Delbarton is also excellent - if you like wrestling you won't wanna miss that match.  Hopefully it's in Oradell and hopefully it's the final.  You think football power points are bad, wrestling is even worse so you never know.

Funny you started off the way you did I was actually thinking the same thing re: lineup.  Sounded more dramatic to phrase it the other way...

Bergen also beat Bosco in county hockey finals yesterday night.  First loss for Bosco in the tourney in 8 years.

It's so true.because Bergen wrestles a national schedule it doesn't accumulate enough power points and is always seeded between 4 & 8..they have won States 8 years in row and very rarely have a home playoff match..same will happen this year. They will have to go to Morristown to beat Delbarton. They have done that the last 4 or 5 years in a row but this year I believe Delbarton has the edge.
