Good example of a human flaw

because that idea is yours, you overweight the importance of it

just thought I’d mention since that’s all you seem to be able to say about anyone outside of GA

lasr year, it was exhs’s 24/7 recruit poll and sounds like this year it’ll be “RETURNING STARTERS”

what will it be next year and if not then, when will results be the most important data?

There were 3 in top 18 — even the NJ guys were blushing with embarrassment

I like to think most NJ guys are  more commendable  :)

I think I'm pretty honest every year how the BNU teams stack up..... most other state homers on here will justify any quality ranking even when its undeserved .... that's just the fantasy land some people chose to live in .....

BC and SJR in 20-30 range like Mickey said.... drop SPP and DePaul  to 65-85 range , with no bosco or pc

@Pops what do you think of Folsom and DLSs spot on this ranking?

“State scaling” is a bogeyman for people that don’t like where their hometown team is

the attached article makes it more clear that fishers is an opinion poll just like USAT (which also claims to reference an algorithm)

im confused also why he would be bragging about ID’ing teams in the preseason with his algorithm — how does an algorithm (which relies on data) produce anything of value  until it has data to input

No protests

i think they’re both a little bit low but nothing objectionable

I’ve said 3/4 or 4/3 in CA so agree with their closeness in fishers poll

I’m sure PG threads were as influential as anything else to him

Haha ... It was important enough for him to create a new page called "State Scaling" on his website (after I spoke on it for years)... Explaining what it means, and how he tried to add it.

Idiot.

Don’t know if really a mistake but I am surprised JSerra from the Trinity league is  not ranked. They should battle it out with Olu for 3/4 place in league. Lot of people in SoCal are thinking JSerra is better than Olu (although OLu is loaded at the skill positions and Hillinski has really elevated his game to another level). I was expecting JSerra to be ranked similarly to Olu. I wonder if the algorithm took into account the transfers that JSerra got?

I just selected the first random installment that I could come across.

Mayhap you could notice that Fisher took our last poll Folsom at 24 and placed them there to start 2018.

Hence why 24 is forever stricken from the rolls of arithmetic sequences and numerology everywhere starting on this day at 9:37 a.m. est.

I appreciate that you get exasperated, but it’s unnecesary postscripts like this that put you in the Canes/los Hurricanés/Carlos Danger/LOSer/Guccifer/Goldmember/and now Guccifer again category.

That is: not to be taken seriously.

It’s solid enough to state your case and let the facts make your arguement.

You don’t need gratuitous insults.

Maybe they helped him realize NY  is not a power state ahead of  GA and FL at 8th and 9th  (09 correction goodies).  Who knows what their role was, could have all been programmers.  It’s his name, it’s his show.  It’s his corrections thru the years and it’s his state scale addition added to the forum.

“State scaling” is a bogeyman for people that don’t like where their hometown team is

Scaling is an integral part of the algorithm process.   With a hsfb rating system the scale has to be state based.  Massey does it and Fisher does too.  How they set it up w data points is how the algorithms differ (along with playoff boost and other factors of difference like min/max pts earned for example).

the attached article makes it more clear that fishers is an opinion poll just like USAT (which also claims to reference an algorithm)

Massey is the USA Today computer poll and its 100 pct algorithm just like Freeman and just like this poll after preseason.  Read the article again.

im confused also why he would be bragging about ID’ing teams in the preseason with his algorithm — how does an algorithm (which relies on data) produce anything of value  until it has data to input

Thats his secret sauce :) He mentioned his opinion is used in preseason using trends of some sort and mentions all about the preseason guessing vs regular season algorithm in the article.

St Thomas Aquinas in 2016 finished close to where you have them starting when they had a much better team

Now either a lot of national powerhouses are down or you are likely over ranking st Thomas Aquinas

Top 5 in FL yeah definitely

Top 10 in nation and number 1 in FL, doubtful
