We’re only talking talent for top 5 consideration.

But anyways it’s not a shoe-in NS is top 5.  They lost their top CB, LB, RB and OT.

Irrelevant as the state title game showed. Back up came in and did the same thing Evans did in the state game the year before. Davis is what makes the offense go.

😂.  He’s not irrelevant he’s an added weapon and provided depth at RB.

What makes them go is their OL

Davis, you put a statue of a QB back there, and that offense isn't as good.

QB's that can run at the HS level are more important than at any other level because of the difference in athletic ability at this level is bigger than at the next two. Duncanville beats NS if NS doesn't have Davis even with Parsons starting. Give them Evans to boot

NS backup QB was the backup RB. They still would have beaten DV b/c they had a strong backfield and surprisingly they were able to grind it out.

Davis is tough to stop b/c he’s also a very good passer, just like he did in ‘18 vs DV

They were spreading out Duncanville and running the ball. Duncanville couldn't stack the box because Davis can beat them in the air. Take Davis out, and Duncanville stacks the box and NS would've been 3 and out.

They looked horrible on both sides in the trenches.

Anyone who watched the first game knew NS was the better team. It was just a game where everything went right for Katy offensively. They converted on some crucial 3rd and 4th downs and milked the clock. They needed those to just win a nail biter.

Their backup is a good QB, he would beat DV for stacking the box. Like I said, they had a solid backfield.  That’s why it was seamless at times.

NS OL won the battle upfront, and it was apparent the more the game wore on.

NS still looked bad in the trenches.  They gained single digits on the ground in the 2d half!

They may go through a similar growing pang this year too.

NS wore them out due to Duncanville's lack of ability to sustain long drives as they were accustomed to. 9 minute difference in TOP without the irrelevant last two minutes when they were down multiple possessions

NS had to learn to play without Banks. Something you're forgetting

Banks had been sidelined for a while by the time the 1st game rolled around.

One of the reasons why they were out of sorts is the week before the 1st game they lost their starting OG (edzavier deblaw) to a broken leg and adjusted some players around to accommodate.  They played around moving pieces for most of the preseason.

I don't think NS season is over. If they played again, NS could easily beat them by 20. NorthShore is an overall better team. I'm not going to say otherwise  based on todays game, but Katy does have better than a punchers chance if these teams played again.

Last years Duncanville team IMO was better than NS. I don't care what the outcome was due to some hailmary.

Practice and game situations aren't the same thing. Davis favorite target was banks.

Ask Brady what not having a safety blanket for a receiver means(Gronk)

But that had nothing to do with the poor blocking.  Katy kicked their asses upfront that game.

But my bigger point is they proved they are capable of coming into a season opener and playing poorly, on national TV.

You also forgot they were missing their OG, S, DE and Banks.

It wasn't their poor blocking, it was them getting run all over by Hoff. Who was playing injured for Katy in the 2nd game. They shrunk the game

Goff was running wild because he had the blocking.  Katy was pushing around their DL the 2d half.

It didn’t happened the 2d game b/c NS big DT transfer was cleared so he was able to play in the 2d game.  He helped their DL a lot

NS never was healthy this season.  For the S.C. game they were missing Banks, Evans CB/LB and an OG.

Anyways a new year, spring is critical to see who has what and where

Since North Shore is gonna be representing Texas against DLS, they better bring it the first game of the season this upcoming year.

None of that weak crap where they looked out of shape and not motivated in the first Katy game.

They SHOULD win, but will they is a different story.

I'd take playoff NS by 3 touchdowns if I knew that team was gonna show up.
