It's basically a "pride" game. I'll say this.... You really don't know who you're playing. There's a reason we're having to travel all the way to Lake City for a SCRIMMAGE game. It ain't cause we wanted to. Colquitt has had a problem getting teams to scrimmage for the last 10 years. We had Coffee as a partner till Robbie got tired of his team being beaten up. Then we had to travel to the ATL to find teams to scrimmage. They'd play us ONE year and slide off into the sunset. We didn't have a scrimmage setup this year until you guys had the cancellation...with IMG (I think). Having no fear doesn't do much for ya. Colquitt County is Coming. And we're on a mission. We hafta prove to Lowndes that we'll be ready for them this year. Beating one of the TOP Florida teams helps make that statement. No Mercy. No Excuses. Till the bitter end.... A scrimmage and a preseason game are 2 completely different things. A kickoff classic is a term used to describe the preseason games during preseason week. A scrimmage is controlled drives and plays and no score is kept. I don’t know what this get together is. Is Georgia allowed to play preseason games this week? Florida doesn’t scrimmage during their preseason week. They play a real game that doesn’t count towards the W/L record. Scrimmages are usually intersquad and take place the weeks leading up to the preseason week. In Georgia, we usually go 3 quarters with varsity 1s and 2s and then the JV works the last quarter.
