It’s only week 3. There are a few that could be hurdles but it’s a very, very short list. Houston talent is overrated, as is the entire state of Texas. Miami and Fort Lauderdale have a combined 41 NFL players (Twice as much as Houston) and they only have one Mater Dei. That school is the greatest producer of college signees and NFL players in history. But Houston would have 6 Mater Dei's. 🤡 West Monroe has more active players in the NFL than Mater Dei and St John Bosco combined..........one could argue MD's and SJB Bosco's talent is overrated...it's just they both have "25-35 overrated talents" while most don't. Houston and Dallas could damn sure fill teams with the 25-30 D1s.........NOLA might even be able to field 1 or 2 and we are tiny Get out of here with that logic..

There's a cocktail of reasons that make these programs so good. Many of them would not be present in a Houston school. 1

Bozo, we all know the talent pool in la is smaller compared to south florida and houston despite a bigger population. Everybody knows that, even then la could still have 6 mater deis if they really wanted too. Simply not true. La has a smaller talent pool? The number 1 and 2 quarterbacks in country live 15 miles apart here in the golden state. What’s stopping st Thomas Aquinas & American heritage from becoming MD or Bosco? Is it those strict transfer rules? Since they have such a big talent pool that la doesn’t have why don’t they have at least 1 MD? Mater Dei has 2 heisman trophy winners the same amount of winners the university of texas also has. It is the premier program in Southern California and has been notorious for getting kids to division 1 schools. This didn’t happen over night. You build it and they will come. MD has been winning national championships since the 90’s. You don’t just create a MD or Bosco over night, ask biff poggi how that went and he’s pulling from the entire dmv. Just do yourself a favor and see how the wealth is spread out talent wise in Southern California. Justin Flowe the best linebacker in the country is at upland. Clark Phillips the number 4 db in the country is at la habra etc...

Care to guess what that percentage is in TX between Duncanville and Katy? Less than 10%

DLS Jserra Oaks Christian Corona Centennial Mission Viejo etc. just to name a few, could all compete in your big boy playoff. MD saw mission Viejo in the 2nd round of the playoffs & Mission Viejo finished ranked 26th in the country higher than cy fair, lake Travis, Katy etc... you know, all your big dogs. (Not to mention seeing Centennial the next week, a top 10 national team 2 games before the state championship.) But go on. And then without a doubt your state champ would finish 3rd place if they played in the trinity league but that’s a conversation for another time. There you go again with bogus rankings to justify quality. Do you actually watch games outside of your state? Many thought without a doubt DLS would come up here and beat a ET team so bad that they’d have to take a knee.. It didn’t happen as DLS went on to another undefeated season in CA while ET was bounced in the 1st round. Just sayin’

DLS faced one top 5 team from Cali that year, and it's the team they match up with perfectly CC. Hell, I think DLS might have won the state game in 2016 if CC makes it(The bad call that SJB got against CC in the semis could've altered the state rep). SJB in 2015 didn't get their shot at DLS, but they would've been favored IMO over DLS because they're much better upfront than CC.
The Guru
The bottom line is: North Shore and Longview won Texas' 6A championships last year. A lot of teams talked about here could compete and potentially win in Texas.

Yet their fans are too dumb to recognize this and so they overplay their hand. Manvel, Lake Travis, Cedar Hill, Steele, pick a name.

You're such a pansy. By this logic you'd claim that Trinity wasn't any better than #48 in Texas because they lost in the first round. 🤡
