Brotha there is no comp for MD or SJB any where this year... you can apply that statement to any state THIS year... Your statement is equivalent to we need oxygen to breathe...

Every State except Texas.   Opps.

Get over your Prima Donna recruited up Private Schools...

OMG Vista Murrieta was 1 of 16 schools in the same 16 team bracket with MD and SJB  last year

Tough competition...   You know. Vista Murrieta plays DEFENSE..

Can of like that joke school in Northern California called Pittsburg that always gets bent-over by DLS each year but is suppose to be the big bad tough competition for DLS.

Of course you blind hogs can't see the acorn in all of this nonsense.  Katy and coach Joseph don't need to go out of state to test themselves.  They are secure in knowing that if they win a TEXAS state championship, nothing else matters.  The fact is that two decent if not very good teams came to town and left with a whoopin'.  Say as much as you may about those teams, the Katy teams that beat them were nowhere close to being really good teams by Katy standards.  If you guys really need to beat a Texas team to feel good about yourselves, them make an offer to come to town but don't expect our hard earned dollars to make a trip for what … just to say we beat up on an OOS team.  Not worth it, dude.

Don’t think any team plays an oos game to feel good about themselves. It’s all for the MNC. Nobody wins state or gets rings for winning an oos state game. Md beat img Gorman st frances St. John’s all in the last 2 years and the only game that matters is Bosco. Why won’t you make a trip outside tx? I’m sure if the only way katy plays MDHS or Sjb is at home. No problem. Both teams had to go to dc and hawaii this year because they couldn’t get teams to play them. They’d love to take a shorter trip to tx. I understand that 2 year scheduling is done after this year so it should be a full go!

But but but... come on Canyon Mike.    Don't you know that every Texas Tax payer for Public Schools cares how their local school zone team can do against two recruited up Private Schools from California.   LMAO!!

LMAO... the last thing that Coach Rollison or Coach Negro gives one flying fart about is a California State Title.

It's 100% about National Polls,  National Rankings and National Titles...

For the record...  The best High School defense over the past 5 years was the 2015 Katy High School teams.

State Title..  16 Games....  only gave up 62 points all season.

PS..  About 10 kids on that defense are playing FBS football and most of them starting.   Few others are playing FCS level football.

Best High School defense over the past 5 years.

One was a state champion,  the other a state runner up. They weren't 2007 Katy,  but those are pretty much what Katy is year in and year out.

I like to laugh at all the Mater Dei fools that Peacock around pounding their feathers over their Recruited-up transfered up... Mercenary team of FBS prospects.

It's funny how Mater Dei and SJB really became relevant on the National State when all the sudden the CIF got tired of spending millions trying to keep the playing field level...   Because schools like Mater Dei were filing law-suit after law suit for transfer football players.

We'll Peacock around as soon as we can stack the deck 100% in our favor with as many Blue-Chip Prospect transfers as possible.

Tell us more about the two Rancho kids (4-STar RB and 4-STar DB) that came to Mater Dei just for football season. Ha-ha-ha-ha.

What game determines the national title? Md/sjb. Next argument froggy!

The Texas 6A State Title will decide it.

Now go recruit some more Blue-chip prospects to come to Mater Dei so you can Peacock your feathers around and tell everyone how special you are.   Ha-ha-ha-ha.

We're great... Just let us stack the deck in our favor a little more..  But, but,... we're great!!!

Duncanville

Desoto

Northshore

Skyline

The list goes on and on. These schools are not zoned.  They receive kids from other districts

Hey.... don't you Cali loons have a few Pop-Warner football games to go Scout this weekend.   Make sure to say "HI" to the Mater Dei and St. Johns Bosco staff while you're there.

You'll see them..  Their the dudes handing out Mater Dei and SJB t-shirts to all the little 12 and 13 year old studs on the Pop Warner field and talking about Financial Aid (Scholarships).

2 national championships and 2 heisman trophy winners before this era. Been relevant.

😂😂😂😂 better say your prayers dv wins out if you want any piece of the title cause katy looked suspect tonight and ns already has one loss. If the winner of MD/Sjb wins out then there’s no shot a team from tx claims the mnc. But go on sir!

Coach Rollison.... "Bryce Young commutes 45 minutes to school each day."

There it is the comment I’ve been waiting for all day. Thought you’d break the streak champ but I never should’ve doubted you. A 17 year old hs football player from another state lives in your head rent free. Bryce thinks it’s flattering but also thinks it’s time to move on 😉  I knew you couldn’t help it, how good did your fingers feel after you posted that?

Some people (I am one of them) don't care about a MNC.  The emphasis on the M.  Unless there is a true playoff system, it really does not matter and a number of teams could make a claim.  As a fan it would be great to see a playoff but not feasible for a huge number of reasons.

Correct but the 2008 state championship came at the D2 level against what I consider a down year for that classification in Texas.  That team didn't even score a TD until I believe the 3rd or 4th game and were smoked in the second game something like 36-0 by the Woodlands.  It was a real credit to the program (kids, coaches and community) that they sucked it up and turned what could have been a horrible year into a state championship.  The runner up team in 2009 was slightly better but had tons of injuries on the OL and won with an unproven soph QB who really wasn't ready.  Both teams were far from vintage teams.  The 2013 and 2014 teams were far and away better than either of the 2008 or 2009 teams and neither won a SC.

Being completely unbiased and honest, it is difficult to say anything positive about the Katy win over Tompkins.  Tompkins is no pushover but Katy was exposed at several levels.  Tackling was atrocious, our all world DB got schooled by a big and physical WR to the point he was eventually taken out of the game.  Some kids lost their composure and committed some stupid penalties, although the holding call on the 4th Qtr TD was completely ridiculous.  The offense failed to close the door in Q4 while Tompkins was making their run.  Hard to call this Katy team ready for prime time.  Having said that, this could be the best thing that happened to the kids. Either they will wake up and the coaches will make the changes required to correct some things or NS will certainly get their revenge in playoffs. I say Katy overrated at this point but still a very good team.
