The Broncos drilled Newton early, and continued throughout the game, to the point where he flat out gave up. He let his team down more than they let him down. He was a phenom going through their season and post-season, and Carolina was a heavy favorite in that game. Newton, as their leader and the league MVP, needed to step up in a big game. He did not at all. His play was very disappointing, actually.

Can't step up if ya always on ya ass. We all know that OLine lost that game...But as they say...QB gets the blame. The D did thier part.

Sure there was pressure on him, but he was a mobile dude. Their whole offense was shut down, and in those situations you look to the guy who won the MVP that year to maybe overcome a thing or two. I always liked Newton, but that was not a good luck for him that day.

No running game to help him (again...O-Line to blame).

I think FSU is the only power football school in the country that would have put up with raping and stealing etc. It was a thug criminal culture created under Bobby Bowden who allowed anything and continued under Jimbo Fisher. It was well known Winston had woman trouble when at Hueytown. Saban did no go full court on recruiting him because of this. FSU allowed Winston's conduct year after year because of being protected by the Tallahassee police and the Bowden effect. Cam is a choir boy compared to Winston. In 5 years Winston will be broke and in trouble again without the money to pay off women he has raped or attacked.
