Trump’s job approval falls amid racial unrest, while Biden jumps to 14-point lead President Donald Trump’s overall job approval rating dropped 7 percentage points over the past month, according to a new survey released Monday that also shows him trailing former Vice President Joe Biden by a 14-point margin ahead of November’s general election. The CNN poll reported that only 38 percent of respondents approve of the “way Donald Trump is handling his job as president,” while a majority — 57 percent — disapprove. Trump’s approval rating — his worst in CNN polling since January 2019 — has diminished considerably since May, when 45 percent of Americans said they approved of his job as president. His disapproval among Americans has increased by 6 percentage points, from 51 percent in May. Trump’s electoral fortunes have also apparently faltered over the past several weeks. Among registered voters polled, 41 percent say they would be more likely to cast their ballots for him compared to the 55 percent of voters who prefer Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. In CNN’s previous May poll, the margin between the two major-party candidates was smaller, with 46 percent of registered voters favoring Trump and 51 percent backing Biden. Trump rejected the results of the latest survey in a tweet Monday morning, writing: “CNN Polls are as Fake as their Reporting. Same numbers, and worse, against Crooked Hillary. The Dems would destroy America!”Trump’s job approval falls amid racial unrest, while Biden jumps to 14-point lead

No sarcasm  but what were the polls looking like around this time in the summer of 2016?

There are three polls listed on RCP on or before June 8th, 2016.

The average was Clinton +3.

2016 Polls

Biden is +7.8 right now.

2020 Polls

And in 2016, the gap was narrowing at this point (Trump had secured nomination and Republicans coalesced around him).

Right now, the gap is widening.

And Clinton won by almost exactly that margin listed above.

Anybody who employs this reason, whether sarcastically or not, is just wishfully thinking. Trump does not have magical powers to overcome atrocious polling. He just got lucky last time.

So the party of "anti white privilege", and who seem to detest "old white men", will elect the oldest white male candidate in the Democratic party?

SMH. Politics is nothing more than pandering and big bucks.

This post is comically incoherent.

If they hated white men then it would be pandering to nominate non-white men who make up their base.

Or in other words identity politics.

But they'd get attacked for that too much like black people are attacked for both peaceful and non-peaceful protests.

There's nothing that they can do to satisfy people who will always hate their politics.

It's tough for bormio to acknowledge trump would get embarrassed badly if the election was tomorrow.

....dr bormio just can't do it.

But it isn’t.  Jimmy Carter and Hillary would have won in June.  And Dukakis would have been the 41st President of the US (with a 14 point lead)

The "But Hillary 2016!" mantra has now morphed into "But Carter 1980!" and "But Dukakis 1988!" mantras even though the only closely comparable one is Carter 1980 and that's because he represents Trump in this syllogism.

Incumbent President in bad political/economic environment.

You're also only looking at one single poll to sell your narrative that polls are always wrong. They're not. You're just dishonest and wishful.

Trump campaign demands CNN apologize for poll that shows Biden leading

President Donald Trump's campaign is demanding CNN retract and apologize for a recent poll that showed him well behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The demand, coming in the form of a cease and desist letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker that contained numerous incorrect and misleading claims, was immediately rejected by the network.

The latest Rasmussen Poll   (Bunker Boy's favorite)   has his approval rating at a MINUS 13.0%.  For once it's actual the overall average and not leaning more to the right by 5 or 6 points

There's a big shit stain down in the bunker now with DJT initials on it.

Rasmussen at -13???...wow!...yea...he's in trouble....big time....😉
