Hurricane Nick what is going on with MD?

Not a bad thing at all. The next hire will be huge on determining how big the drop off is, if there is any at all. There is a huge commitment to football at Mater Dei. Some private schools across the country have figured out the balance, but I agree that entrance requirements shouldn’t be compromised because a kid is a good athlete. Despite those on here and elsewhere that want to paint the kids in a certain light, 99.9% of them are outstanding, take it seriously, and are grateful for the opportunity to be at Mater Dei.

There is a “Nasty” rumor floating around the Nor Cal Baseball Circle that a Top Nor Cal player is Transferring to MD to play FB because he is being told he will get better NIL offers going into college if he plays at MD vs his current school in Nor Cal….. 🤣

If this is true, Wow!…. You Guys are getting a Monster of a Player!!!….

De La Salle’s issue is not getting kids in, it’s getting kids to go there because it’s tough and hard work….

Also, with the prominence of Social Media, camps and all the recruiting stuff available to get kids to College, kids in Nor Cal don’t feel is necessary to go to DLS for their best opportunity to go to college and play FB….

They can go to a public school, not have to make such a commitment, not have to drive 30 min to an hour each way and not have to play by DLS’s rules….

Plus DLS won’t take FB transfers after their Sophomore year so that limits things as well…. But they also don’t get hardly any kids who want to transfer in there either…..

Well, yes, but that's sort of what I'm saying.  If you lower the standards even more, and inflate grades enough, they'd get by. But, you forfeit your standards and maybe culture in the process. Public schools can't maintain really any standards beyond a very low GPA.

De La Salle is a hike away from a lot of the better players. But, Mater Dei is no different in that regard. Both have to search further and wider to find players than schools in Long Beach, Miami, Atlanta etc because they are suburban schools with families that don't need football to "make it out".

That's why there will always be chaos and turmoil at Mater Haze.

MD has a number of players from NorCal currently on the roster. Jordon Davison and Sione Tohi are 2 key players that come to mind. Raleek Brown was from NorCal. Furian Inferrera is from Vegas. We got new transfers coming from Ohio and Washington.

MD is a destination program for many kids.

You thought this was so funny it had you dying? Are you a grown man? How embarrassing for you. Pathetic.

1. I'm a minority so yes I find it funny because of the partial truth to it

2. this is a clear representation of MD and how they have "transformed". Did you forget how MD looked 15 years ago?

3. Even your beloved Rollo said it in 2011 that they needed changed and we all know what that means. It happened in front of everyone's eyes. Let's call a spade a spade.

So Logan is the same? Husan Longstreet is from Inglewood and transferred to centennial. He’s just one of the stud minority transfers that has found their way to centennial. Will you be posting a joke about Logan “putting them slave catchers to work” and finding humor in it? Is every white coach that receives quality transfers a slave catcher? Or just at MD? As you said, call a spade a spade?

There was so much more involved in Rollo blowing up the program after his lone losing season. That doesn’t fit your narrative so you’ll just chalk it up to he brought more minority kids in to play. What a joke.

What was corona centennial like before Logan? Enlighten us.

Santa Ana, CA has a population of 310,000 with a measly 1.1% Black population........ and Mater Haze looks like they're based in the 9th Ward of New Orleans. 😂😧😂

Do the math.....

Only a 3*?  Dang maybe homeboy is right and the decline is coming. lol

Usually one of the first chinks in the armour is a substandard incoming freshman class.  We will have to see who actually shows up in Aug.

Orange County has a population of 3 million+  SoCal metro is ~20 million population.  Also MD is a diverse school outside of the sports programs too.  you would know that if you ever set foot on the campus.
