What a complete moron.

If I were a HC, Id get rid of kids that got roughing the kicker penalties. Id kick them off the team. If they are that dumb, they shouldnt be on the field or on the team.

Especially in that situation. Hed never see the field again. Thats the dumbest play in all of football.

Thankfully, the important (and very good) news today in Conchland is that my older son got his SAT results today.  Pulled a 1520.  Hopefully some academic scholie dollars...

Dear Mr. Concha

On behalf if the PrepGridiron board we would like to extend our appreciation for the tremendous effort your son exhibited.  His SAT results are tremendous and while this  board may have only played a small part in developing your parental skills, nevertheless we are gratified that our community outreach was able to foster another child's development in a positive direction

Comish,

Gracias to you and the Board.

Regular beatings work wonders. But the real motivator was the following: "See this idiot? We call him "Chip". You do NOT want to end up like this guy."  A healthy fear of stupidity and ignorance is simply solid gold.

FYI, my boy wants to retake it because he sees some room for improvement (he did literally zero test prep).  I'll pony up for one more shot at it...

Damn 1520!? That’s incredible.

Was he scoring that high on practice tests? Where’s he looking at schools ?

He did NO prep at all. He's a fricking genius. He has been on his school's academic teams for a few years now. In 8th grade he took an online test taken by about 15,000 kids on academic teams around the nation. He had the highest score in the country.

The scary thing is that he actually CAN improve on 1520.

I’m not even sure few points above 1520 will even matter that much to be honest. That’s scores prob already close to if not 99th percentile no?

With a score that high next how well rounded he is will come into play extracurriculars/clubs/sports etc.

is he taking sat 2’s?

This is a horrible loss for ST. X.  No other way to put it.  Really resets them back to the SJB debacle.  Looks like they haven't improved much at all.

Don't be absurd.

It has zero effect on their playoff situation and may well be a healthy wake-up call.

Anyone who has watched them at all this year knows they are a better team than last year. SJB was a "debacle" in your dreams. A program that has been jacking itself up talent-wise in recent years played a team that hasn't made that choice and was missing key players. There was no way the game was going to be close and you were clearly told as such going in.

So how is it horrible?  In your cute little "tiers" thingy?  Be honest.  You started that up because your beloved Trinity League teams magically started bringing in ridiculous amounts of talent in recent years - way beyond what they had 10 or even 5 years ago.

X just not doing anything right today. Glad they they're doing it now rather than in the tourney.

Weird year amongst the Ohio Big Catholics so far...

How true.....

For example (last 4 weeks)

St. Xavier beats Moeller 31-7

Moeller beats St. Ignatius 41-20

St. Ignatius beats St. Xavier  28-14

Perfect example of Ohio's D1 this year, and just what can happen on a give day.

As for StX, 2 closest games for them before the loss to St. I's

Could not run the ball against Colerain

Could not run the ball against Elder

Could not run the ball against St. Ignatius

Without a consistent run game, teams will bring everything against Wolf.

Look to see how they rebound against a good Lou. StX team (8-1), only loss to Trinity.
