The correct answer is Stephenson historically... in recent years I don't think they've had as many annually, but always power 5 kids it seems. STA two MNC's and 2-0 vs Cali.

STAs 2008-2010 probably had almost half those draftees in that time span. STA 30, DLS 6 STA 9, SJB 3 In that time span also... Maybe if STA played in Cali, itd be a little easier on them and theyd look better... Giving them more MNCs.

STA would most likely not do well in the CIFSS playoffs. Their track record points to no stamina and would find the playoff gauntlet difficult, mainly due to being outcoached, and guys taking plays off.

Pops
Is there a way to dive deeper to get the players per school? was surprised to see DLS in this list at all — they went thru 6 classes (‘05 - ‘10) during this stretch where they had 2 BCS scholarship players total (QB on ‘04 team and RB on ‘08 team — neither went anywhere)

The first 4 are current NFL players, and the latter 3 were all drafted in ‘06(Landri, Jones-Drew) and ‘07 (Williams)...and they played at DLS in 01-03. Gotta account for those 4-5 college years. You’re right, the years that you mentioned, the cupboards were bare at DLS as far as top talent goes.

Cole, Whats hard to believe? The game was played in a blizzard and a foot of snow with almost a turnover on every play. sure both teams played in the same conditions but under other weather conditions the result would be much different IMO. golfaddict1
Not exactly what Pops was asking for, but some college ranks here... Top 20 schools from 2016 college rosters per MaxPreps article... Excluded juco, but included fbs, fcs, D2, D3 and NAIA. The only two schools they dissected were STA with 40 fbs out of the 67 playing and BC had 8 fbs out of the 49 playing... how the rest is broken up is a guess, but bottom line at the hs level in many cases it's raw fbs talent vs. skilled but lacking prototypical frame type... the battles in some cases are closer than the star rating (or lackof) would have you believe. Hate to use this example again, but we've all seen it when a current D2 NT playing OT for BTW handled a 3rd round NFL draft pick when Carter was probably not even 215 lbs on that tall frame (was likely close to a 100 pound difference) and now he's 250 lbs or so and runs a 4.46. How would round 2 work out? My guess not so well for the current D2 NT, but in HS he did his job very well. Red Bank Catholic, NJ well done.

That weather certainly negated Glenville's biggest advantage, speed. The 2009 team was better, and should have gotten the job done against HD. And the 2004 Tarblooders should have gotten to the championship game. Really wanted to see those athletes matched up against one of the greatest Ohio teams of all time in that '04 Colerain squad.

With Glenville you have to wonder how some of their past teams would do if their playoffs weren't taken place during freezing playoffs/snow etc. A speed/skill advantage doesn't help as much when your friction for cutting is limited by conditions. Also harder to get the ball in the hands of the offensive skill players with grip/wind less throwing accuracy etc. I'd be willing to bet Glenville in "Ideal condition" might have been able to win one or two. Since we often use 2013 Booker T in discussions i'll use this example. You take that team as good as they were and put them in a snowstorm against your average Colerain team and they're going to be in trouble. Now Glenville, being in OH should obviosuly be more accustomed to that type of weather, but it's definitely not ideal for their style. They simply have always been unable to cope with a well run misdirection offense like the wing-t. Glenville’s front 7 got worked the entire game. On a perfect evening it obviously would have been closer, but Loveland wins that game 8/10 times.

They beat SJR in 2014, but that’s a rare result. SJB what year did Negro start? Likely if this was 2017 they’d be there as that’s another HS year into college. For ‘18 season I’m sure they’d make a top 20. and IMG would be there too likely in quite a hurry.
