Can say the same thing about SoCal, except I'd include CC

But SoCal has 5 teams this week in the maxpreps national top 25. So I’d say that Mission and Oaks are better than just okay. These are the SoCal number 3 and 4 teams followed by OLu and JSerra. Who are the NorCal teams ranked 4-7 that could compete with these teams?

What was their record the previous year when they scheduled IMG?

It’s irrelevant b/c they had a new coach when they played IMG. But of course you knew that bc you know and see all.

No way Folsom or DLS is 2nd in the Trinity league. SJB and MD would roll both. JSerra would give them a good game.

Nobody said 2nd... 3rd place is a lock though for both teams.

I mentioned in another thread that there’s a good barometer game this week with Bishop Amat playing Chaminade (who Folsom running clocked). Bishop Amat barely lost to JSerra 21-20.

I’ll be expecting a blow out win for Bishop.

Ok block junior. Get out of here with your weak NoCal garbage. Gardena Serra beat a top 5 NoCal team San Mateo Serra by 3 scores.  Lol

Thanks for the laughs

Let’s look at few head to head match ups according to cal hi.

MD vs DLS

SJB vs Folsom

CC vs Central (Fresno)

Oaks Christian vs Liberty

OLU vs ST.Francis

MV vs Buchanan

Amat vs Pittsburgh

some intriguing games there

Liberty and Pitt would be favored but other then that SoCal would be favored in the rest.

It’s not just the Top2-3 So Cal teams that are a Tier above the Nor Cal #3-5 teams

I’d put forth that it would look like this

State 1-4 So Cal

<gap>

DLS

<gap>

So Cal 5-8 + Folsom

<gap>

So Cal 9-20

<gap>

Nor Cal #3, So Cal 21-30

<gap>

Nor Cal #4, So Cal 31-35

<gap>

Nor Cal #5, So Cal 36-50

I'm just saying that the State Championships have, for the most part, competitive.  If another opinion differs I can live with that as my original reason to comment was bc of the shit being thrown at the north.

I agree kind of except around #25-30 the numbers start to equalize.  It can be best explained by someone who has done the math -

No seriously, your right.

i dont trust OLu in any big games anymore...

Yep, totally agree on that . OLU always has the look of being in the national rankings, but they just fade. They start every game well and then tank in the 2nd half.

Brentwood Liberty.Tennis had them 13th in state last week at Cal Hi

They’re 6-0 with closest game being 17 point win over #402 Cardinal Newman

they haven’t played the top 3 teams in their league yet (Pittsurf, Antioch, Freedom) whichnthey do in next 3 games

if they get to 9-0, they’ll be validated but they may be there based on just not having lost yet
