Would Grayson even take the game? I thought you said they were done playing national powers. I don’t see how we could travel to TX, come home, then head to GA a few days later. Would Permian be away too? Might as well keep the kids in TX if it’s back to back weeks. If AHP is willing to come out here we will 100% take the game. Play the Utah team as a last resort.

Grayson is desperate. I could see them bending that rule for this high-profile game.

Permian would need to host on 9/17.

Will keep you posted. Liberty NV on 9/10 as part of the Polynesian Bowl is the best oppty as of tonight.

They will be doing COVID testing weekly. So basically we are walking on eggshells all season. There is nothing different in regards to testing for this game than there are for other games. But obviously Duncanville is a huge game and would mean more overall if that gets cancelled because a player tests positive.

If the kids are vaccinated I don’t see why they need to be tested…the CDC will go back and forth on that issue for weeks. The Diocese has all mass  in person indoors with mask being optional, and I didn’t have to take a PCR before taking communion. The kids will be playing outdoors they should held to the same standards as the parishioners. CTE is going to do a lot more damage to them long term compared to Covid.

Agree 100%. Unfortunately this logic doesn’t apply here.

IF you follow the science then it’s a reasonable statement.

However:

a) vaccinated people are testing positive for Covid with increasing frequency

b) vaccination cards used as proof of vaccination aren’t exactly secure

Mater Dei is only testing unvaccinated kids and the cards are easy to fake…
