Yes, because nothing screams, “we’re the best” like beating up on Maryland and Hawaii teams. For real though, California took care of its’ business 👏

STA didn't have a great schedule and didn't look all that great in their big games. They got the wins, but there was nothing I saw that made me believe they could compete with SJB, MD, SFA, or even the healthy TX teams. To beat those teams would've taken a good QB and Zion is not that." "The funniest thing to me is that USAT makes STA #1 to start the year, then they go undefeated and drop them to #2. If anyone was going to give them a title I thought it would be them; but we all know they are the worst national poll even though they have the clout." Yes, please keep re-posting this so everybody can get a good idea of the incompetence of this bozo. What's funny is that @PrepForce thinks that people have heard of or respect his poll enough to give credence to his attacks on USA Today. This is embarrassing analysis. 181pl
SJB is the most undeserving poll winner in memory. Lost very bad to their rival. No good OOS wins.
181pl
Their OOS wins? The teams had 17 combined losses. LOL. 1 point win over Servite. Lucky to get passed beat up MD in rematch. Clown polls. 🤡🤡🤡🤡 that love to suck CA 🍆. 1

It's not that their OOS opponents were really bad or anything. It's just that they're being overrated in an effort manufacture this "impossible" schedule that they played. Oh no! They played DeMatha! Nobody beats them......except practically everybody that they play. 5- loss Don Bosco Prep 5-loss Liberty 5-loss Mililani The best team they beat in the regular season was Good Counsel? Their offense was putrid and couldn't score on anybody. They almost lost to Charlotte Catholic.

Yes, and yet, somehow, SJB's has been given a complete pass. They beat a bunch of OK northeast/Atlantic teams + two 5-loss western teams but we're told that it was a gauntlet that required MNC recognition. If FL didn’t take so many Ls to Ga teams this year maybe STA would’ve gotten some recognition.
HawgGoneIt
The thing with SJB, is, they beat Mater Dei, who did have that monster schedule, and only lost to, you guessed it, SJB. To some effect, SJB benefitted from Mater Dei's schedule, and the fact that Mater Dei would have been mnc had they won out. I feel pretty certain nobody would have been very much considered for mnc over MD had they won out. Right, wrong or indifferent, that's probably true. Then given how solid the polls and most everyone would have been for a MD mnc, the win over them by SJB was too much to overcome for any other team.
HawgGoneIt
Given the current landscape, and having seen all the arguments and the gradual moves that the polls have made over the past few years, them going with MD or SJB was the most likely outcome for this season in the absence of a Duncanville perfect record, and even then it would have been a split. This year the MNC was all but certain before the first game was even played.
