I understand there is totally different demographics and culture there, but, it's the exact reason why it's difficult to get excited for one of the teams that suddenly arises. In our area, we can see what's coming a couple of years away. Impossible to lose 19 starters and not take some lumps. That being said they’re are some bright spots.  Sophomore WR Christian Mathis is a player. He’s small, but he can track the ball and get it when it’s in the area. He’s quick and has great instincts. His Dad Mark played in the league for a few years and older brother Jordan went to Western Carolina to play baseball and football.  Jordan should’ve been the QB the years Anthony Jennings was, but the coach decided to put Jordan outside where he thought he’d be better and could use Anthony as well.  Had some good plays that got called back (5 or 6) but that’s football and you’ve got to be able to overcome that. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
