10-1 W and my cousin’s son caught a foul ball off the back wall carom.  :)  No TV shot of it.  :(  was right behind home plate in walkway area past lower section.

First visit to the stadium.  Holds over 7K and I think the crowd was around 5500 or so yesterday.

I dug the Shea orange and blue square look and some great past players shown inside and outside the stadium.

“Straw” had a heart attack recently, but doing well from what I read.

My mom is a lifelong Mets fan, and when I was 2 she brought me to the spring training before the 86 season and got all the autographs from the players except Gooden and Strawberry. The only thing I remember about that day was I took a shit in my diaper.

 👍🏻 and 😂

My cousin had a bedroom view of Shea Stadium and the US Open complex growing up.  They used to walk to games.

His parents still live in same apt, near the Kew Gardens (Queens) Courthouse.

Pic is from 3 years ago that I took at the apt.  We attended a Mets game that day. DeGrom pitched and I shared pics/vids on the forum.  They won bottom 10th.  :)

Winner makes Euro 24, loser adios.

Onto PK’s

Poland didn’t have one shot on goal.   🤕

But they can still win in the shootout.

Pictures like this can be deceiving. How far is that in real life?

30-35 minute walk, I’d guesstimate.

They walked to many Mets games thru the years.
My cousin walked it 3 years ago, meeting us at the game.

My aunt used to walk to the Forest Hills tennis complex to watch the major tourney on grass surface.  :)
