Very simple.Purchase 2 coffees,Ask to use the bathroom & they will give you the code. Many sit down food/coffee joints will not allow anyone to just hang around or use the can unless you purchase their products. The manager Ms. Holly is known as SJW big lefty.I doubt she is some kind of crazy racist.I was in a pretty nice restaurant in Jersey City & the men's room was locked for 30 + minutes. The manager opened it up with a key & there was an over dosed(non customer) pos bumb in the stall. EMT took him out.Not good for business. If this guy wanted to be a customer I'm sure they would have never let him in the place. One of the many reasons for the rule.

The former Starbucks manager whose telephone call initiated the controversial arrest of two African-American men at her downtown Philadelphia store told 911, “I have two gentlemen at my cafe that are refusing to make a purchase or leave,” according to the taped audio of the call released by police Tuesday.

Police then arrived and they were again asked, by the officers, to leave and they refused....ABC News.

What am I missing here? It's deemed loitering until asked to leave....if you refuse, it's trespassing.

I figured the situation happened just like this.

Cops told them to leave and they refused.

Cops had no choice but to arrest but the media jumps to the race card.

I went into a starbucks to use their wifi for about 30 minutes, and I was able to use the restroom without purchasing anything. True story.

Why wasn't I asked to leave?

I had intended to say no more on this matter. However, after listening to the ABC interview with the two individuals who were "escorted out" of the Starbucks and to the local police station, I will say this. If they were telling the truth in the interview they were wronged. Why do I say this? In the interview, they contend that after one asked to use the restroom and was told no, he did not. Further, both contended that even though an employee (store manager?) asked them if they wished to order anything to which they explained they were waiting on a third individual, they were not asked to leave the establishment until the police came. Finally, they both contend that the police got there within 5 minutes of their arrival even though they had not been asked to leave.

If they are telling the truth, and I will stress if, for they are two sides to every story, then their treatment was grossly inappropriate. Why do I feel this way? It seems to me that the employee who asked whether they wished to order anything could simply have asked them to leave at the time they said they were waiting on another individual. I see no reason why the police should have been called at this stage unless they were asked to leave and refused. Now again I will state that my position is predicated on them being truthful in the ABC interview.

I will leave it at that.

This seems right to me.

Did you find their account of the event plausible?

Has the interview not been posted on-line?

You figured wrong.

Read and find out what happened.

This is  Their own testimony, which they gave to "Good Morning America" on Thursday. According to their own version, they walked into the store, grabbed a table, and then asked to use the restroom. The manager told them that they had to buy something to use it. They declined, and went back to sit at the table without having purchased anything. Now that they had called attention to themselves, the manager was aware of their presence and aware that they were not paying customers. She approached them and offered to get them drinks or anything else they might want. They declined. They were asked to leave and they declined. The police came and asked them to leave and they declined. This is their own version.

Further, the real victim here is the manager. She’s a SJW feminist of the highest order according to one of the regulars there ... hardly the portrayed racist you and the media want to make her out to be .... the CEO of Starbucks is a pussy for caving to the intolerant left.

And these two thugs there for a “huge” business meeting were wearing sweatpants so give me a break. Two punks who were real tough with a little female store manager....

now these clowns are going to lawyer up and go after one of the most liberal companies in the world.... Hilarious.

You got any other brain busters wise guy ?

If you can’t afford a cup of coffee or a bottle water have your super important business meeting in sweats at the public library.

Hate speech? 2 big burly dudes getting tough with a female just trying to do her job ..... reports have said that Starbucks has had loitering problem.

Noon, You ever go to a “huge business meeting that might change your/their lives” so they say .... in some sweat pants?

Who do they think they are telling the cops they won’t leave? Your parents raise you not to respect police officials ?

I was at a Starbucks in Venice around Easter. I was sitting on the counter drinking a coffee than I asked employee where the bathroom was .... he said, “we don’t have one. We had to close it because loitering from the bums and homeless.”

I couldn’t believe it. What establishment serving food and drinks doesn’t have a bathroom? I thought it was Law you had to have one?

I would also like to thank...... @PrepGridiron for creating this site. It allows us to see true colors and how we feel about a certain type of ethnicity. Don't you agree?

My post was racist? Interesting .... which part exactly?

Thugs, punks, and clowns .... all words only associated with black people lol. Give it a rest .... the race card is played out. It’s people like you that keep racism alive in this country ....

If the two guys were white and have given a black female sjw feminist  a hard time and refused to leave after cops told them to I would of said the same thing.

@FootballGuy

If cops ask you to leave the Starbucks and you refuse .... I don’t care if you’re black, White, green, or yellow ..... you’re a thug. Period.

If you think differently .... you’re just a jackass.

Yep

I am still pissed I did what a cop said because he had no legal right to "command" me as he did.

But I knew my refusal would cause him to loose face in front of the folks assembled hence he'd cuff me and make something up so I complied. @Drummer61 will be glad to know I complied.xD

You always have those employees who take their job seriously and then some, right? Lol.

I refer to them as dolts.

But honest. I have many times been told the restrooms are for customer only and still been handed the key.

It's how you respond, what you say. Just like anything in life.

When I am told no (in any walk of life), it's just means I have to negotiate. ;)

I find it funny that you use the word "thugs" when referring to the 2 black men. I feel like you're holding back. So that's why I said tell us how you realllly feel. Getting tough with a little female store manager by telling her they didn't want anything? Yep... sounds REAL tough.

there is no excuse for talk like that.

Obviously he brings a ton a bias to the table with that.

As I replied to him.

It's just hate speech.

So “thug” is a term that can describe only a black man?

Hmmm I guess you learn something new everyday.

The real victim is the store manager .... not the two wiseguys  in the sweatpants. Telling the cops they won’t leave.... that’s not acting like tough guys?
