STA ought to be favored by 50 but I get why theyre not — it’s not because DLS coaches are lame at getting schollies

nice try on that btw — pretty creative obfuscation from maybe the biggest talent imbalance of any premier national game ever — I can’t even think of anything that would be half this much of a perceived massacre

POPS: De La Salle has the greatest high school football program of all-time. Their coaching staff is the best at maximizing potential and their Brotherhood is the best at getting players to play harder than any team in the country.

(STA vs DLS announced)

POPS: De La Salle should have no chance! This should be perceived as a massacre! They should be a 50-point underdog! This is the biggest talent imbalance of any national game, ever! How is this even close?!

Why are you researching quotes from 2017?  Absolutely no one was discussing schedules.

You say practically every year that DLS has a "monster" schedule or "beast" schedule and it's utterly laughable.

There's nobody dumb enough to actually believe this stuff.

Thanks for putting in the work exposing Pops hypocrisies

Good question.  I don’t see it changing anything significantly enough to bother with doing it.

SS needs to find a way to send 2 of their 3 best teams — they can do today if they so choose

and/ or

Norcal sections need to get together and decide to commit hari Kari by  insisting that their champs need to beat DLS to advance

the former seems a lesser path of resistance to get the game that is missing

It makes the D1 playoffs interesting again.

For teams 9 and lower perhaps.  Three through eight would all play one less game than they normally would have.  The D2 bracket is already more compelling.  You don’t know who’s coming out of there

It's Happening, Tweets from the Dan Albano from OC Varsity say that the Announcement of Specific Divisions is coming out at 4:30... Like you said, the D1 Playoffs will be interesting with The Trinity league, Oaks, "St. Mission Viejo" and "The Real CC" now in their own Division.... :)

That's what I was talking about. Realistically, teams 5-16 don't have a chance in hell in D1 and only a few in 9-16 have a snowball's chance in the first round.

Also, moving top D2 into D1 and top D3 into D2 makes these divisions even more interesting too. I think the last few years, the top D4 teams were better than the D3 schools.

Yes! Finally, a more competitive playoff.

There are now 24 teams in a combined Division 1/2. The top 8 will go 1 and the rest 2. So basically everyone makes the playoffs 😂

If teams are hovering 7-10, they might all lay down a bit towards the end, hoping for the coveted 9th spot, instead of the dreaded 8 ball.

One article says they are looking st more sweeping changes for 2020. They cited MD, SJB, and Cen10 as the reason they are making the changes.

Yeah the more sweeping change is deciding the divisions with all the data after the regular season concludes.

Truly sweeping change would be an 8 team statewide open bracket with CIF covering the travel costs as warranted.  There’s no more teams than that with an honest shot to win anyway, so why not?

I like our chances in 2019 and 2021, but 2020 worries me.Those four interior O Linemen, (and the fifth, a TE) all have D1 offers, but all five are seniors in 2019.

Chances for ??? 7-3 would be a good target. 8-2 a stretch goal.

2020 will be better than 2019.  They’ll get transfers to supplement the bigs, and the guys in the program will have another year of  TT strength program under their belts

Sounds right. A win against Mater Dei or SJB seems very unlikely. We should be able to defeat North, Cajon, Villa Park, Orange Lutheran, and Santa Margarita for 5 wins. That leaves Bishop Gorman, Notre Dame, and J Serra. We'd need two of those to get to 7-3. Not an easy task, to be sure.

Servite didn't bring TT back to finish in 4th place every year.   And TT won't be around long if they handcuff him and make him play on an uneven field.  Save your "piety" for DLS

GOT’s hottest hottie imho, unless you want to count that slave that taught Daenerys how to make Khal Drogo happy
