maxchoboian Posted March 5, 2023 Report Share Posted March 5, 2023 Was up around Leadville, CO, this past weekend, and made it into town for the 75th Leadville Skijoring event. Pretty friggin' cool (and cold). Leadville is situated at 10,150 ft above sea level, with quite a colorful mining past, going back to the mid 1800s. In skijoring, skiers are pulled down main street by poweful horses, and the skiers have gates they have to negotiate from side to side, rings hanging from posts they have to spear with a wand and collect on their arms, and multiple jumps they go over, in a race to see who can complete the course the fastest with the fewest penalties.
