ATLien12x Posted August 19, 2022 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2022 There’s no doubt in my mind Buford is a top five team in Georgia. #1? I’m not so sure. They’ll have to improve on offense. They are an extremely talented team. They definitely pass the eye test. Athletic group. Better than 90% of 7A’s without a doubt. They have 2 five star juniors- both ranked inside the top 20 nationally in the class of 2024 and they have a lot of really good seniors. A four star RB committed to Alabama. A three star OT. Defensively they’re stout. Very good. Got a dude at each phase of the defense. Offensively they have to continue to get better and learn to open it up. I believe they will. It’ll be a dog fight for them to win state because they can’t just drop back and pick you apart that’ll never come for them with their current QB/system but they will improve. No doubt they’ll improve in three months. That said like today against Thompson they’re going to struggle to run it on the Grayson/Colquitt/North Cobbs of the world that know all you want to do is run the football. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nationally yes because this isn’t the same team from 2020 and 2021. Offensively they lost too much. They lost Mr Alabama, a 2x state championship QB, and a do it all WR that’s now at Middle Tennessee State. Tough sledding breaking in an entire new offense against a really good defense in Buford. That said they’ll continue to improve and be a better football team because of this game.
