Interesting how MV landed on that other list.

IMO there's no other way to know how good a team like Allen (and the entire state of TX for that matter) REALLY is without being able to compare their OOS wins vs the OOS wins of other comparable "elite" teams. A few years back IMG, BG and Liberty NV all proved that the state was not THAT and may be overrated in this modern-age of hsfb. Not questioning the pomp and circumstance of TX hsfb, it's the best. Just that there's no better proof than OOS wins vs other Top 100 teams. And TX has one good win in the last five years (DLS). I'll recap the Desoto, cedar hill and westlake seasons for you those years. 2015 Wk 1: Desoto 26 Martin 46 wk 2: Desoto 29, IMG 47. yep, IMG really showed Texas!Desoto finished 6-6 that yr. 2016 westlake 14, liberty 21 liberty 32, corona centennial 49 in two games vs lake travis weslatke 10, lake Travis 100! yep, Liberty really showed texas! BG 44, cedar hill 14 desoto 33, cedar hill 18 desoto 55, cedar hill 41 Perspective.

Not a good look for the supposed 'top' hsfb state in America. Time for the 'power' publics to put up or shut up, and start getting some quality wins vs the teams that matter. TX will never spawn another MNC team without these meaningful wins. If MNCs don't matter, feel free to stay the course. It's your prerogative. What about Hoover during that time, forget about them? If liberty was relevant so was ECA in 2016. Both of those teams went on to win state. So to recap: BG, IMG went undefeated and BG won state BG the MNC. Liberty was runner up, DLS won state and so did Hoover and ECA. Meanwhile none of the Texas teams did and they went 3-3. A matter of fact none of the Texas teams played in the state championship those years.

BG 44, cedar hill 14 desoto 33, cedar hill 18 desoto 55, cedar hill 41 Perspective. Quite the spin job. Not saying I agree with GSB, because hes wrong... Texas is the #1 HSFB state and their top teams will play with and beat anyone... But... yet ... 2015: (heres 3 instances of DeSoto showing they can play with and come within a point of some of the best in TX) IMG 47, DeSoto 29 (+18) (TX #3) Allen 41, DeSoto 40 (+1) (TX #9) Mansfield 35, DeSoto 21 (+14) (TX #10) Cibolo Steele 35, DeSoto 33 (+2) ====== 2016: Liberty NV 21, Westlake TX 14 ... I dont see how you defend this... Liberty isnt some powerhouse, they arent BG ... Westlake was 11-3 and a large class Quarterfinalist, beat Katy the week before they lose to Liberty, IN TEXAS... Their only other 2 losses were to the eventual clear TX #1 and State Champ Lake Travis ... Westlake actually beat the team that handed Lake Travis their only loss... And Cen10 CA beating Liberty by 17 is a victory for TX? Yeah BG 44, Cedar Hill 14 ... DeSoto was the #2 team in Texas ... Finishing 16-0 winning State ... And they were in a fight that 2nd game vs CHill... BG also beat DeSoto by 2× as many points as DeSoto did the 1st time... In fact BG beat CHill by more than DeSoto did BOTH TIMES COMBINED. Its easy to spin this shit. 1
