They have been pretty consistent. The 2018 title was huge. They played in 3 more but lost to Lake Travis twice and Katy once. Longview is usually a Top 10 team in Texas yearly any class. They have beaten Allen and DeSoto all in what GSB claims modern era. They're are the arch rival but they got a solid program.

These people couldn't even find Longview on a map. Forget about them knowing anything their football.

Longview is basically right on TX/LA border and they are coached by a Cajun.

Quality program with some great wins on their resume.

Was Smithson Valley garbage ?

They most certainly were.

Three losses including one to Pflugerville.

And then there's the small thing about being almost completely talentless.

This is one of the worst teams I've ever seen in a big school championship and the "national champions" almost lost to them.

Longview is an HOUR away from the Louisiana border. What the fresh hell are you talking about?

Allen TX is the same distance to Oklahoma. I guess Oklahoma can kinda sorta claim Allen as one of their teams.

....lots of Longview folks work, shop, gamble and eat in Shreveport.......continue being a dumbass though, I love it.

You said “Longview is basically on the TX/LA border”

But in fact they aren’t even close to the border. It’s an hour away. And when your lie is exposed, you change it to the people of Longview go and visit Shreveport. What kind of dumb shit is that?

You changed the story once your lie was exposed. Then you kept rolling like you were taking facts.

You are a dumbass with no shame. Longview isn’t a Louisiana team. You would think they were after kicking in the teeth of 5 Louisiana State Champions. But no. They are a perennial Texas 2nd-3rd round playoff loser.

..nolescum813 clearly struggles with the word "basically"....he struggles with most things in life though so no great surprise there.

The Ark-La-Tex (a portmanteau of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas; also stylized as Arklatex or ArkLaTex) is a socio-economic tri-state region where the Southern U.S. states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas join together.[1] The region contains portions of Northwest Louisiana, Northeast Texas, and South Arkansas as well as the extreme southeastern tip of Oklahoma, in McCurtain County (part of Choctaw Country), partly centered upon the Red River,[1] which flows along the Texas–Oklahoma state line into Southwestern Arkansas and Northwest Louisiana.

The population estimate of the 40-county core region as of 2018 is estimated to be 1,498,647 people, up from 1,043,570 in 2010.^ Shreveport, Louisiana, with approximately 189,149 people in 2018, is the largest city, economic and geographic center of the region, and principal hub for both the Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan area and Northwestern Louisiana. Longview, Texas, with an approximate population of 81,647 people in 2018, is the second-largest city as well as a principal city of the Tyler–Longview metropolitan conurbation and Greater Longview metropolitan area.[2][3] The twin cities of Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas, are the fourth- and sixth-largest cities, respectively, but collectively make up the region's third-largest metropolitan area (with a combined population exceeding 150,000 residents) as the center of the Texarkana metropolitan area encompassing Miller County, Arkansas, and Bowie County, Texas. Other cities in the Ark-La-Tex with 20,000 or more residents include Bossier City, Louisiana; Nacogdoches, Texas; Marshall, Texas; and Ruston, Louisiana.

You don’t get to claim something from an hour away. Like i said, it would be like someone from Oklahoma trying to claim Allen TX and Denton. It would sound just as fucking stupid as what your saying does

If you ever go to Shreveport you will think you are in Texas with the amount of Texas license plates you will see....not all of them from Longview, of course..... but many are.

That's your geographical lesson for today.

Carry on with the Texas bashing and nonsense.

Why are you lumping Louisiana in with Texas? Texas skull drags Louisiana any chance they get. Louisiana is like the inbred off brand version of Texas. You want to be relevant so bad you have to cling to a place that wants nothing to do with you! Lol. How pathetic!

That’s most Texas teams outside of Duncanville, it’s about winning games not challenging ur team in Texas

Five teams in the Top 20, nine in the Top 41, but Texas teams must play OOS games to challenge themselves?  Do you even think before you post something?
