Gilmer boat raced Bishop Gorman. That was before 2008 but don't say a Texas team never beat them and STA has only played Skyline ? Maybe a shitty Texas private ?

I like to compare HSFB to boxing/ mma in this case. If your program wants to make it to the national scene you have to fight in some undercards in order to get recognized and to build up your brand. When 6-5 Gorman played at 10-1 Gilmer the Gaels were an undersized light heavyweight (2006). After years of hard work, dozens of OOS games and 3 MNCs Gorman is now a name brand heavyweight.

On the other hand the majority of the 14,000 schools that play HSFB don’t have those kind of aspirations and that’s ok.

To be fair 14,000 schools may not have the resources that Gorman has. They have came a long way since loosing to 3A Gilmer. This match-up would be a complete mis-match now. I only brought that game up because GSB said no one from Texas had beaten Gorman and just wanted to drop that little nugget for him.

But we're talking about this season and the ratings have Temple a head of SJR. But I will note 2 top 150 finishes with-in last 6 seasons. So Temple is somewhat national relevant according to your barometer. But lets talk about this season. Temple 3rd best team in Jersey 😂

If the two teams played, which will never happen, it would be a competitive game.

That's all I asked for just a little respect. Temple started 2 freshmen and 5 sophmores on defense in 2019 and as you can see they're getting better.

So did STA vs DBP. Twice. And they still lost both games. NJHSFB is way better than you're giving us credit for.

And so is Temple. Just wait to after the Westlake game and you will see just how talented. I also believe DBP had some power 5 kids. It don't look like SJR has any at the moment
