Texasball
It's the bread & butter of the team. I wouldn't say they are the most explosive. I would say the execute the veer blocking schemes with authority and excellent fundamentals.
FootballGuy
I would loooovvvveeee to see them play John Curtis.....just to see who can run the veer offense better.

Adam Kurkjian
Depends on the quarterback, imo. If the QB can make he right reads and be an effective runner AND passer, then the veer is much harder to defend than when he is simply one or the other. DBP66
They are unique...the line seems to almost anticipate the Q.B.s signals and they get off the ball very fast..as soon as the center moves the ball in they are in unison motion...they're impressive..

AztecPadre
Their is no line in football that gets off like DLS. They may not always be the biggest from year to year but they get off like its nobodys business.

All the bloviating about NO teams by swamp dog may in fact be just that, BLOVIATING !!!!! By the end of the season the best teams in NJ didn't have any better results against DB. Not to mention that Rummel also took another lose from in state. All Rummel did was travel from NO to NJ and held the best team in the state to 10 points. Give them some credit. You figured the game to be easy win and Rummel played right with them
Texasball
I have always given DLS credit for quality OL play. However, it's one thing to lose in Florida, Texas, NJ, or even vs BG - losing against UTAH - Come on man - They are far from being the Best OL that I have ever seen especially play against elite teams. CC couldn't tackle anyone even in a phone booth - That Defense SUCKS plain and simple!

golfaddict1
DLS finished #1, Allen #4... that's a tough sell. #2 Bishop Gorman and 2 loss St. Edward #3... yowza. Allen beat 5 teams in the top 100 (top 77 actually). Oh, back to the subject... lol. DLS was very cool to see live. You don't see an OL like that too often, like never. John Curtis and Camden County similar, but different. Been fortunate to see some really well coached OOS teams... DBP, Byrnes 09 included. It's always so close that after a drive or two, the refs just go with it, if they ever had a problem with it to begin with. It's excellently choreographed, and it certainly creates an advantage as they have that millisecond jump on the D-line, so often there is a yard gained just on the "pre"-snap.

Teams don't stick with it like DLS has. After a few attempts and getting flagged or hearing a fuss from the crowd etc., others stop trying. DLS pushed it and earned the right to get away with it. Opposing fans still fuss about it years later, but DLS doesn't care still today. DLS now looks at those fans and... well you know...
