NFL can employ anyone they want. They don't need NCAA's approval. They just have a deal with them but all hell is broken loose to hell with that deal. Really I always thought that was dumb anyway. If the kid is 18 and can get a job on an NFL team then he should be able to do that. The requirement to go to college is ridiculous and not necessary for the job of football player.. Maybe for a minute NCAA loses some but really people will still root for their schools teams and watch college ball they way they used to. No one will care if the top 1% skip college and go get paid.. just take a couple years

181pl
Remember, this kid will be playing lesser competition. He may turn into a super stud or he may end up just being an afterthought. If he doesn’t turn into a great, great player at that level he can kiss being a high draft pick goodbye.

Jimbo Fisher left FSU in a mess. They can bad mouth him all they want. But he is still best high school athlete I have ever watched up close at the Hoover 7 on 7. I know 7 on 7 is not real football but as far as speed and quickness and ability to track the ball was best I have scene.

Get that Cheddar stock up HBCU'S with all them Jawjaa brother's and Florida dreadheads then win the FCS championship by 30+. Then schedule one of those SEC school's that destroyed HBCUs after years of denying them the chance to play and beat da dirty britches off Em Rascals. Then come and scorch Bevo's ass and flip GHA, DFW and da bEast to TSU and PVA&M. And dem La. Homies to Southern and Grambling. Hell yeah The SWAC a FCS member would be the best Conference In America in 3 years. And NIL would skyrocket. You lose da Ga. Fl, La and TX Brothers YO ass will be in a hurt Locker. Time for my donations to rise. Viva La Revolucion 😁 Let's go S. W. A. C Have Jerry Rice or Michael Strahan as President of the new SWAC. JSU played in front of 50K fans several weeks. The SWAC leads FCS In attendance playing classic games in U.S. Cities each week. Shortly Whipping Ass Countrywide 2

ATLien12x
Happy for Travis, JSU, and all of SWAC football tbh. I think it’s a fantastic fit with Travis and Deion honestly. That was his idol. That’s his position (DB). He’s going to be explosive and used on both sides of the ball. Expect to see him get a ton of offensive touches too. He’s going to make a lot of money and win a lot of games. Travis Hunter would’ve succeeded and been a superstar anywhere in the country whether it’s Bama or JSU. Love that the kid bet on himself and bet on Deion and bet on JSU. I think it’s going to work out extremely well for him. He’s going to be a top 10 pick because that’s what kind of player he is. Special special talent.
concha
I wish the kid all the best. He's made a choice that might not be the best for him in certain respects, but he rated being part of the HBCU experience and raising its status as being important to him. That is incredibly altruistic and honorable. Maybe he and Neon Deion will begin to lure more high-profile kids and maybe start an Alabama-like dynasty in the SWAC that gets more tv time and exposure, which could maybe spread to other HBCU programs. Bigger visibility and more dollars for the schools. That would be pretty cool.

Plus they will have higher graduation rates due to history and culture.. And no one shouldn't support that. I thought this would happen in Bball 1st. They will play under coaches that really care about those kids. Listen to Jerry Rice and Strahan talk about their experiences at HBCU Schools.
