This past year, Duncanville and Desoto got to play some of the better Houston teams thanks to the regions changing. Westlake has won three titles from 2019-2021. Katy won a title in 2020. The only time both NS and DV were considered best in Texas was 2018-2019, with maybe Westlake edging out DV in ‘19 after JJ went down hurt. This year neither DV or NS beat Westlake.
