Blueliner
Great hit. Receiver never really had it. He might of juggled it out of bounds regardless...but great hit just to make sure.

Great Ds win Chips, not great Os. Yea but when DBP had that 2011 team with the killer defense they could still put up 40 on you
legendsofthefall
The RB Kalani (sp?) has been their most effective back against that STA D.

BG and IMG are already up there. Look at the teams you're mentioning. These are two legit teams that will likely beat the snot out of everyone they play the rest of the way. Mjd33
I still feel like sjb more likely to put up points on offense more than STA despite being down 3-0 at half.
Omaha Vol
Just tuned in. It appears the defenses are stout for both teams. Or, are the offenses just sloppy?

I'd always rather see a 10-3 game than a 49-42. Just me I guess. yes but LSU/Bama to me makes 10-3 exciting lol. coach_warren
Halftime observation: Both defenses are elite. I can't tell if Re-al Mitchell is just a horrible passer or STA's Defense is lights out. Maybe both. #8 for SJB is STA's MVP right now. He dropped the field goal and dropped the touchdown pass for Bosco. Let's see how both teams respond to the comeback.

You know, just based off camps and what I've seen and heard DJ should be the starter. However, I'm not the SJB staff so I'm not going to hold off the judgement. But SJB is known for playing seniors who aren't as good just because they're seniors than more able underclassmen.
coach_warren
Steeler, that pitch to the outside for SJB on 3rd and 1 was it SJB's playcall or did Re-al change the play?

They put up 35 on Mission Viejo, but those points were mostly because of the way they stymied MV offense and gave their offense excellent field position. 954gator
Man, both defenses getting at it. SJB's D isn't getting talked about enough but they have been shutting it down. Every play you have to worry about Mitchell tucking the ball. Hoping STA can get some offense and at least get good field position, because MItchell's ability to extend the play and look deep is scary. Could you guys imagine how shitty the O would be right now if it were storming?! Anyways I'm a defense first guy, so this has been a treat so far. STA qb has zero seconds to get a throw off, I do like him TRYING to extend plays and keep his head up field, but nada so far.

The only concern is execution in the humidity where it even affects how the ball behaves once airborne. Mitchel is used to the dryer less dense WC air.
