Sammyswordsman
That IMG team was NOT your typical High School team. Same goes for SFA. Still impressed that The Stache was able to beat both of them Its always great football when (2) Tier 1 teams square off. Much more fun than watching a Texas Tier 1/2 team doing a weekly beat down if a Tier 7/8 Team 56-7 2

DLS350
I honestly think it’s ridiculous that teams like IMG, STA, SFA, SJ, MD, SJB, etc., have gathered, transferred, recruited up that many D1 players. Normal HS teams whether public or private can‘t compete with them. Yes I already know, this is coming from a bitter DLS fan. Actually if there are 15,000 HS teams, then I bet 14,990 of the fans are bitter because there are maybe 5-10 teams in the country that can compete on the level of these teams. badrouter
I realize its not particularly relevant to the bigger point, but we're in the middle of a pandemic and looking at no football for a year, so I can not allow the error to go unnoticed: The team profiles OP uses come from calpreps site. And all throughout the 2018 season-August-January 2019- they had 4.5* Deyavie Hammond on IMG's roster. Had Hammond really played for IMG-instead of the school he *actually* played for- Lakeland, perhaps STA wins the 2018 Florida 7A state title. Hammond was a key cog in Lakeland's running game, which put up 272 yards rushing-6.6 ypc- for three rushing TDs. And, at one point, STA was so flustered by the Jumbo Power I that they took a timeout as if it were a basketball game with Dick Vitale screaming "you better get a TO baby!" #neverforget
Kalven
The way SJB wipe the floor with MD showed how physically exhausting the game against IMG was. 1

I disagree. Bosco was just flat out better than IMG and presented problems to MD that IMG didn’t. Much more balance on offense and way better on defense. I told all my buddies leaving the game we’d have more trouble with Bosco than IMG. IMG would’ve finished third in the TL these past two years. That first SJB game just wasn’t our night and we got beat. We had to pay em back in the ship.

But im sure the $$ is nice coming to TX. People love our big stadiums and crowds. DLS will be in for another treat. but after this season it won’t matter, football will probably be an after thought in Cali, people and players will leave and you’ll be like Washington state. Jserra got tossed around by Servite and ended up finishing in 4th place in the Trinity League. That same Jserra team beat a top 10 team from Utah in Utah and beat a top 20 team from Georgia in the TL vs USA event. They also beat Amat (Mission league champions) & Calabasas (Marmonte league champions) Those are pretty good wins for the 4th best team in the league. The 4th place team in the TL would have a lot of success in a bunch of other places. Unfortunately for JS, they play in the best hsfb league in America. Anybody want to nominate a league or district that’s comparable to the Trinity? I’ve asked many times but have yet to hear an answer from anybody. What league in the country has better wins than the Trinity in the past few years? The TL could be ranked #1-6 in the country and would still be called overrated. 1

No argument here, just stay in your lane and be nice.... Or else! Lol. Actually, you’d hafta compare different years from different parts and play matchups but TL is a different monster and not everyone functions under those “conditions”. The academies? Couldn’t get near that “stank” myself, but those come closest to level of competition (SFA). A strong Georgia or Texas right now (Duncanville, North Shore). Didn’t Milton give JSerra all they could handle after that Championship(Milton) season?

There’s a ridiculously huge difference in the amount of talent that Thing 1 (MD) and Thing 2 (SJB) have on their teams compared to the rest of their Trinity League counterparts & state competition. Whereas in Texas every team is relatively similar in talent. That includes the top teams in Texas. 2. Looking at these rosters from 2019, Would you explain again as to what makes the Trinity League so difficult? “The best hsfb league in America“ I believe it’s known as. [Without MD and SJB] of course. 3. What happened to California that was so horrific to the point it felt necessary to completely assemble rosters of D1 players on St John Bosco and Mater Dei so heavily to the point, no other school could compete? 4. If Chandler, North Shore, Miami Central, De La Salle, Corner Canyon, St. Peter’s Prep, Lakeland, and Liberty can be successful and nationally relevant with rosters such as theirs, what keeps St John Bosco and Mater Dei from being able to dominate without a roster advantage? 5. Exactly how many of California’s top OOS wins have been won by St John Bosco and Mater Dei due to a roster advantage? 1
