Who will win the line of scrimmage? How will new STA QB, Curt Casteel, fair in his first start? How will the heat and humidity affect the Braves? What are the keys to the game? Rankings from PrepGridiron.com Reader Poll as of 8/23/17.
Pops
STA ill be rooting for SJB and might have picked them very slightly on neutral field SJB won't be able to overcome home field advantage and STA's chip on their shoulder for being lower ranked
ATLien12x
I think it'll be a really competitive game. I'm going with STA by a field goal or two
Cossacks
I like STA in this one.
steeler01
Ill take SJB just because I haven't seen a capable STA QB in recent times. Low scoring defensive slugfest that I think Real has the capability of winning with a long run off the read option
HooverOutlaw
STA got to go with the southern boys. Forgetting the fact I still would like to whip Canes ass.
Mjd33
Not sure who's going to win but give me the 10.5 with STA.
nptb17
Re-Al will be the difference. You can not game plan for him on the high school level.

Justin Thomas 2011 Prattville type? He wasn't 100 pct and still ran well vs STA. As you said, hard to game plan for a guy with wheels like that. He might "Lescano" some 3rd down conversions with his legs. Thomas was cut by the Saints and just recently the Rams at WR btw. Started at Georgia Tech a few years at QB I think. These schools are almost clones. Plus 10 1/2 at home is hard to pass up. But if STA can't run the ball effectively, they are going to need a superb effort with Casteel's first varsity start. An efficient run game will take some pressure off. A weak one could spell trouble. Obviously I'm hoping Casteel plays more like Lescano than Rizzo for OOS performance. Looking fwd to it and hopefully can meet some forum members at the game.
legendsofthefall
STA in a barn burner due to home field and season opener.
PrepGridiron
I said it on another thread. The QB that has the better game will probably win this one for his team. I like SJB because Re-al has experience whereas Casteel is starting his first game. I also think the legs of Mitchell will cause troubles. What's wrong with Rizzo? he was un-tackleable, as if a ghost

Re-al is a better passer with better threats out wide which makes it that much tougher to defend. I agree with the comparison.

I agree with the comparison. Yep, plus Prattville's O scheme was pretty basic. SJB can do plenty more and still have him exit stage left (an old cartoon character comment) to move the chains. STA D will surely test him as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the young gunslinger from SJB getting in there and taking reps also. His brother I believe. The RB. I thought you meant Jake the QB. Yea he had a solid drive in 4th vs DLS.
Mjd33
Re al mitchell isn't a great passer and SJB secondary might be the best in country. Whoever runs the ball more effectively will most likely win the game..... both Ds will be stout.
old_e
There will be no speed advantage in this duel. Both teams are quick. On paper it's an evenly matched game. I don't think the weather will be a factor. I'm taking SJB just because they have the experience at qb position.
