With that game, win or lose, and the prestige DLS has built over 30 years they will be play in the Open Bowl Game for the real State Championship. That doesn’t even take into account the “ESPN” game. Folsom will end up in the lower level bowl game (unless St Mary’s beats them in the section Championship) and play the 12th best team south of the grapevine. Folsom is a regional power...are they an elite state power? We don’t know since they won’t play the big boys in SoCal. Are they an elite team nationally? Well they have only played one elite national program, and got thump both times. You left off the part where DLS scheduled CC who lost to D4 Oakdale last year. National teams don't schedule those games, nor do they join the #34th rated league in NorCal. Since we love Cal preps. And I don't know where you came from. You just won your first ever bowl game and went to school on someone else's dime. I remember my first beer. If DLS wasn't afraid of losing to a NorCal team, they would schedule the best instead of hiding in a week league and playing mediocre private schools like CC. The only reason they are playing BG next year is because it's a 2 year deal. They'd back out if they could. Scheduling Folsom carries risk. Scheduling CC does not. Even the OOS games are no risk either because if they lose it will considered a "good loss." They've been playing this same game gonna long time homie. Welcome to the party.
