So to clarify .... you only have a problem with bosco's ranking ?

bosco will play brynes and a legit SFA team so we will find out. Talent isn't as bad as you think.

Byrnes had a very odd season, but ended on an upward trend.   What boggles my mind is them having a -.2 rating for a game... for those who follow the ratings on CP, that is surely a WTF view.

Byrnes is a joke compared to what they once were.  Shame, they used to be a power.

I would love to see Trinity Christian Academy, FL vs Southern Lab (Baton Rouge) for my own head.......I read in the Baton Rouge paper Southern Lab will have 16 D1s this year as they go for 3 D4 (smallest private class) state titles in a roll........they have 3 LSU commits so far.

SUL is coached by former LSU QB Marcus Randall and he seems to attracting some of Baton Rouge's best ATHs.

Trinity might would whoop them, but I'd like to see it anyways.

Well sir...it usually takes more than a QB to win football games.  Besides...it's only preseason.  Kaptain "K" will be the No.1 QB in Georgia by December.  He's throwing at FSU on Thursday and Alabama and Auburn on Saturday.  How in the world did a complete unknown QB get those opportunities?

(Big Smile)...

I just heard earlier before reading this about how busy Steven's week is. Jusy got back from a 6 hour trip over to Hoover and then got all those officials to go to. Wow.

5* OG Kardell Thomas (#1 nationally)

4* RB Tyrion Davis (#14 nationally)

4* LB Damone Clark (#13 nationally)

You can build a team around those cats....all 3 rated in the Top 15 at their respective positions.

D4 SUL scheduled up big time this year OOD.

Week 1: Riverside (D3 state champion)

Week 2: University Lab (D2 Semifinalist)

Week 3: Scotlandville (D1 Runner-up)

Week 5: Parkview Baptist (D2 Runner-up)-John Curtis beat Parkview Baptist 40-35 last year)

If they run that Fisher won't be able to deny the Kitten. B|

#100 would be cool.

Replace Roswell with either Lowndes,Rome or Westlake...

Putting Buford in over Rome makes no sense. Rome beat Buford 16-7 in the title game. And Rome brings back quite a bit. I like them both in yeah.

Lowndes also, and thats it.

4. CA posters, is Poly really back? Do you think they deserve top billing to start the season? DLS and the SoCal big 3 should all be top 15. Personally, I would start MD at #1.

Poly got a good transfer QB and some skill guys, but their normal core guys are ending up at SJB and Narbonne.  Poly line is suspect and their coaches are horrible.

I would put Poly somewhere around #10 in So Cal

So technically, what we have learned from this algorithm's starting point is that, Jeff Fisher knows something that everyone else doesn't on a few teams? unsure2.gif

Well, either that or, he understands how his algorithm works kind of like Ned, and place teams in strategic spots so that as they play his "favorites" then the favorites get boosts and helps stack the deck for finishing positions for teams like Vista Murrieta that doesn't appear in this poll, but they play teams in there, so if their strength of schedule/power rating increases it helps the other connected teams.

It's the only explanation for Colquitt that high. To give the Cali schedules a bump all around. xD

I know these things are hard to throw together this time of year, but there are some glaring mistakes from the Mid Atlantic region. There is zero chance that anyone that knows the area was consulted for this poll. How do you put #24 South Pointe(SC) ahead of #51 St. Frances Academy(MD)? SFA beat South Pointe last season and with one phone call to anyone in MD/DC, you'd realize SFA took in 20+ transfers with many of those being 4* players for this coming season. They are absolutely stacked. Again, one call to anyone of knowledge in MD/DC and they tell you about the exodus from SJC to SFA. IMO, you switch those two. SJC around #50 makes sense. They are still good, but SFA is better. Good Counsel in the top 100 is pretty funny. They lost a lot, including their legendary HC. Overall, this was about as lazy as it gets for the usual MD/DC suspects. It looks like someone took the name brand schools and took a wild guess as to where they should land. Bishop Sullivan out of the tidewater area of VA will be very fun to watch. They deserve a top 100 preseason ranking.

Post a list for those of us who don't know the region very well.

They got Lucky.

No. They didnt. They were better than Buford. And they bring back A LOT of starters and some decent talent. Rome is going to be really good this season. Their QB was a sophomore last year, and hes the PERFECT fit for that system.

They also have a really good coach...

Youll notice they have a lot of siblings playing for them... The Kadums (3 of them), Griffins'(3 of them), Sykes'

The only kids they really lost last season were 3* OLB Jaylen Griffin (Virginia Tech) and 3* OG Zach Kadum (Samford, and the QBs older brother)...

They bring back...

4* OLB Adam Anderson - the #2 ranked OLB overall... has been committed to UGA & LSU... he'll likely end up at 1 of the 2

3* DT Jamarcus Chatman (Tennessee commit) - this kid has over 60 offers... hes ranked #3 overall at Rankbyoffers.com for the 2018 class...

3* APB Jalynn Sykes - 20 or so offers from most of the biggies

3* DE Jaquon Griffin - LSU commit

3* RB Jamious Griffin - 11 offers

QB Knox Kadum - offers from GSU & Tulane
