nptb17
I'm handing out free Madden lessons on the PS5. Respond if you ready for school.
Cossacks
I remember being a this game. Didn’t hear his reaction until I watched it later on 😂. Never a Raider fan, but always respected Madden as a coach and GOAT announcer.
maxchoboian
Madden said Tom Jackson of the Broncos came over to the Raider sideline to wish him luck before a game. He said it was the only time Jackson talked to him, then found out Jackson did it on purpose because he had the flu. Madden's Raiders were damn good.

ThunderRam
The very first NFL game I attended was in October 1979. My parents took their 8-year old son to see his beloved Miami Dolphins play the Oakland Raiders at the Coliseum. Monday Night Football. Don Shula and John Madden coached the teams. Doesn’t get much better than that. 1

Didn't like to follow a team that had to play them twice a year, but appreciated what the Raiders were, for sure.
Duckburghsfinest1987
its a very longshot, but i believe the Raiders need to win their final 2 games of the season in order to qualify for the playoffs, would be nice if they did that for him, and the fan base in general, Raiders and playoffs in the same sentence, has been non-existant for 20 years now, except for 2016, i wonder if 2016 was a fluke, since they returned to their losing ways again. 67packer
He was a great coach but man did I love him doing color on the big games. His chicken scratching on the screen was hilarious.
