He’s 5-1 against UGA, maybe better. There’s one example.

Georgia prior to Kirby wasn't as talented.

He's 3-1 in those match ups. An overtime game being the deciding factor between him being 500 against them and being 3-1.

Even in those games,  talent everywhere was equal and he had the better QB in every match up

I said Satan would retire this year. Imagine that.

Anyways, he can't coach like he used to or he would pop some blood vessels or something.

His first national championship will always be his best national championship.

LSU made Satan!

USC was the best team that year by far. As they proved the next year and the next. So Satan has half a title that year.

Who do you consider is the best college coach ever?

I actually would rate Bryant slightly ahead of Saban because of these reasons.

1. Won titles in 1 platoon football and in the modern substitute era

2. Won 3 titles with all white teams and 3 titles when integration took place.

3. Bryant went 11-1 at Kentucky and were given the title by some non ap and upi polls. Just think 11-1 at Kentucky beating Oklahoma in the bowl game how tough that is.

There's a very good chance he realized that life's too short.  He has all the money he will ever need or be able to spend.  I would imagine he would like to spend some time with his wife and family.  I don't think any of us here realize the work and commitment it takes at that level.  We've certainly never lived it.  I was probably a workaholic until I wasn't anymore and I've got to say being retired is a *very* good thing!

Stolen valor on your part to claim your school made him when he took the team to the championship.
