I actually would rate Bryant slightly ahead of Saban because of these reasons. 1. Won titles in 1 platoon football and in the modern substitute era 2. Won 3 titles with all white teams and 3 titles when integration took place. 3. Bryant went 11-1 at Kentucky and were given the title by some non ap and upi polls. There's a very good chance he realized that life's too short. He has all the money he will ever need or be able to spend. I would imagine he would like to spend some time with his wife and family. I don't think any of us here realize the work and commitment it takes at that level. We've certainly never lived it. I was probably a workaholic until I wasn't anymore and I've got to say being retired is a *very* good thing!
